Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Yeah they are everywhere but the issue is i spent a TON of time looking for the right one. This GC was spotless inside and out and I paid extra for that. When i bought it, it had 95k miles on it and now it has 105k. Runs perfect, looks perfect...I'm gonna be so angry if they try to screw me over.
Since it is a Uni-Body i am unsure if it is bent if they can straighten it or weld a new one on. We will find out. The driver side wheel is 1in or so further back then the passenger so something got bent.
I see you liked the thread so I'm assuming you found it. It is a Uni-body, I doubt i bent the frame on it but i may have bent mounting points for the lower control arms and those may or may not be repairable.
Sooo..... Jeep update. Just got off the phone with the body shop, they are at $3671 and they haven't even torn off fenders or bumpers to check for more damage. Plus, it still has to be looked at by a mechanic to see whats messed up in the front end. I'm gonna be pissed if they try to total it.
I would assume so. I have always mounted my roof racks to the existing roof rack bars. And never had an issue and Iv'e had some serious loads up there. My Blazer said "weight limit of 200lbs" lol... I had it loaded down with 2 huge plano cases full of gear, 2- 5 gallon water cans, a shovel, LED...
I did at first, they seemed pretty sturdy, I later went to the hardware store and bought good stainless U-bolts and bolted it down. For being on the cheaper (cost wise) side I was pretty happy. The Yakima is better quality for sure, I'm just cheap lol
They are Hella brand, not sure if they are 2-wire. I'll check on that also. If they are 2-wire then I'll run a pretty heavy ground wire and chassis ground it behind the rear lift gate.
Iv'e got the same ViAir compressor, I LOVE IT! Also, how do you like your LED headlights? Are they bright? Do they get really hot? and do they work well in the stock headlights? Lol... lotsa questions.
I had this one on my Blazer and loved it, it is big though so measure your roof to see if it would fit. It is sturdy also, I weigh 215lbs and was able to stand one it with just some flex in the mesh floor. For the price I was very impressed...
Oh it will :yum: That is us Mods job...we will keep it friendly around here!
Ain't that right @SLO Rob @stringtwelve and @Robert OB 33/48 ? I think that's all the Mods lol
