Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Thanks..
The flare got kinda scuffed up but I'll hit it with my polishing wheels and it will all be good. Even though I'll have to remove most of it again when the snorkel arrives.
One thing to also keep in mind with the ARB is it is thoroughly tested for safety and if I remember correct even keeps your factory air bag sensors working correctly were as some of the others will reduce the sensitivity of the sensors and cause your air bags not to deploy when they are supposed to.
Well I have a fresh tube of Lucas Red-N-Tacky grease I'd be glad to smear in their hands.........................eyes....................face.....................throat...............OK, you get the point haha.
For my Degree I was required to take 2 courses: Alternative Energy and Wind/Solar Power. I'll look through my notes and see if I can come up with useful info. I built for my home a battery bank that uses solar panels (2 smaller ones) to maintain the charge and then It has a plug 110v type plug...
Some upgrades are coming soon..
Just ordered the following:
LED rock lights
Snorkel
A knock-off version of the Rotopax fuel can ($40 with the mount) so i'll try it and see how it works, I'll fill it with water and drive around for a week or so and make sure it is leak free. Seems to be well made.
Well..... On the way to my Grandpas funeral my fender flare decided to fly off. So i removed the retaining ring, cleaned it up, welded new studs where the stock ones broke off and reinstalled it.
Flare gone
Flare back on
Welcome! I am a former WJ owner, they are fun to build and a very capable rig! Keep us up to date as you go along, we are always interested in new builds, Ideas or projects. Pics are always a plus too!
I am trying to get the "comfort" stuff together for camping trips this year that will make it easier to get my wife out there with me. What do you guys use for a "pop-up" style shower tent thing? (Very technical term I used there)
Thanks!
Don't know how I missed this thread.... Welcome to Overland Bound! I am a former owner of a WJ, not former by choice...found a light pole that did not agree with the front end.
RIP Red Riding Hood, you will be missed..
