Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
@WJ_David no mud!?!?!?! All we found was mud and spent 2 hours digging my buddy out. lol
I did get stuck once, as pictured below. Lol both front tires were completely under mud..
Just bought a 30ft VooDoo kinetic recovery rope.. This thing looks awesome! Hopefully it holds up and works as good as it looks. Between this VooDoo rope, my @TractionJack and my Hi-Lift jack I should be set for this upcoming weekend of wheeling! You guys ever used a kinetic rope...
OK forget what I said. LOL I called them, it shouldn't be too bad at Redbird this weekend. Any of you guys have a winch in case we do get stuck? I have my VooDoo Kinetic rope, @TractionJack and Hi-Lift to get out but a winch may prove useful if we get in mud to the frame
Guys this rain we are getting is making me nervous. Redbird is a swamp when it rains and muddy as crap. If it keeps raining it may be too muddy to enjoy it. Are you guys open to the Badlands Offroad Park? It is in Attica, IN.
I carry the following, based on my experince:
1. JB Weld
2. Duct Tape
3. U-joints (axle shaft and drive shafts)
4. Serpentine Belt
5. Water (for drinking, washing hands or overheating)
6 Front hub assembly
Other than tools and fluids that is all the spare parts I carry.
Well, since my wife decided she might go and it is supposed to be pretty hot, we got a cabin there in the Greene Sullivan NF. There are more cabins available and at $40 a night with AC it is pretty reasonable.
OK guys, it is coming up quick. I am going to tag everyone who said they were coming, if you can please reply with if you are going or not that would be awesome. I am making a list of people coming so we can make sure to meet up.
@SteveR
@WJ_David
@Hank_
@ShawnR...
I plan on being there Saturday morning, the 25th at 930-10am. Then I will be either camping at the Greene Sullivan or getting a cabin there. If my wife goes I will be getting a cabin, it has AC and it is supposed to be HOT!!
As previously mentioned: Hi-Lift jacks are ALWAYS a last resort. They aren't stable and things can take a turn for the worst really fast while using one.
