Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Here is the only place I found that makes them. I'll go with the short ones for the crew cab as I am doing a bed delete and installing a flatbed.

Only a week old and have added aluminum stirrups, tinted the windows, removed the rear seats and am drawing up plans for a stowage system and cat abode. I’m impressed with the drivetrain. It’ll get up and cruise in 10th gear with more than enough pulling power at 1500 rpm’s. Tooling around...
The truck has a new home. The build begins. Until I can find a pair of rock sliders I’ll be putting a pair of aluminum stirrups on it so my wife can get in and out easily. Secondly I’ll remove the rear seats and begin building out storage compartments around a 16 gallon water tank, along...
My statement was referring to the cheap brand, not traction boards themselves. I have a pair, just not $99 dollar knock offs. Used mine a couple of times, they are still good after each use. The same cannot be said for the $99 knock offs. One or two uses and they are in the recycle bin...
A lot of people will provide a laundry list of things you “ must “ bring along. However, when I started doing this back in 74/75 I used a beat up old 65 VW bug, an army surplus sleeping bag, a good pair of boots, an old Coleman cooler, and a small tool kit consisting of 17-15-13 and 10 mm...
Began cleaning up the 450 and the trailer. So far it’s cleaned up quite nicely. Today I’ll be power washing the undercarriage and detailing the exterior. Should be listed for sale in a couple of days.
There are those that will disagree with me, however, it is always a good conversation. Chevrolets have independant front suspension. The Dodge has a solid front axle. The solid front axle is easier to maintain, it is more dependable, and it is much better off of paved roads. The only...
Jim suggested I start a thread about our full time, poor man's expedition rig. Well, that's what my wife and I call it, as the price point is way lower, less than half, of the entry level exotics. We began camping together in a 1987 F-150 that doubled as a painting contractors work truck...
I’ve always maintained had the LC 70 series been permitted into North America, Jeep would no longer be in business. There are two things that Americans are good at building- ( hopefully ) the GM and Ford full size pickup trucks.
The 4.0 straight 6 was the last reliable engine that Jeep used and 2005 was it. Even at that those engines were good for only about 150,000 miles. I’m just curios to see what company purchases the Jeep name when Stelantis goes under. Will it be the further destruction of the Jeep, or will...
I’m not a fan of the 270 degree type awnings- we have a side awning on the cruiser and another over the rear of the trailer. They work great, they are light and easy to deploy. Most importantly, they keep us dry and shaded for about 1/4th the cost.
Check out the company “four wheel camper” . They are pop ups that are well built and will hold up to rugged off road use. They hold their value and there are always used ones on the market. I wouldn’t bother with an RV dealer, they are snake oil salesmen and specialize in selling over priced...
Agree- a lot of people think they are chefs or grill masters or whatever the current trend might be. Just put that food in a piece of good cast iron, a couple of spices and be done with it. Years ago we had some friends that would go on and on about food prep, recipes, etc etc, so we invited...
