Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
We usually recommend 4.56 gears on a 2012+ JK/JKU with 35" tires. You can step up to 4.88 gears if you run around in high elevations or tow a heavy/wind sock trailer.
For inside the vehicle I really like the rotopax. Granted I have a JKU, but I just lay a pair of them on the rear floor. They never leak and have held up to the kid and dogs stomping all over them. The biggest problem is that they are expensive and dont carry a lot of water for the money.
If...
"Trailer tire" or non-trailer tires doesnt matter... its the load rating. If you have a 3500lb axle your tires must be rated for 1750lbs each MINIMUM, which most light truck tires will be. The problem generally comes when people try and use regular car tires.
I have the center section of a TRD Pro grill(the actual grill, not the painted surround) for sale.
It is BRAND NEW. I used the painted surround on my 2018 tundra and have no need for the center section. If you like, it can come with the 2018 chrome surround and hood bulge. It was removed with...
Better than stock performance but not over-rev'd or "shifty". We run all over CO/UT with it... much of the time with one of our trailers in tow and it performs exceptionally.
The Teraflex ST3 kit is a great setup. I would recommend spending the extra money and getting the Falcon shocks with it. Larger bodies, longer stroke and valved great for a JK. 4.56 gears with the 35" tires make a great combo and they are worth the money to maintain the drive-ability.
AMO JKU...
@Daniel Diaz The capture nuts they send with the table arent very good. If you can, use 1/4-20 Nutserts instead. Most ACE hardware stores have them with little instal tools in the specialty bins.
The table DOES NOT rattle when installed but it does take some force to pull open. I have had...
What size tent are you looking for? HITents has a great quality tent at a competitive price. They are just as nice(if not nicer) than the CVT Summit Series or Tepui Ruggedized but for a lower price. I have been very happy with the build quality and customer service from the guys at HIT with all...
Im a little late to the party here but I run them on my shop JKU and LOVE them. We do everything from daily driving the highway to crawling in Moab and they handle everything very well. They even have skids available for the rear shock bodies now to keep them looking beautiful.
Give Hinterland Industries a call. (HITents) They just got in their new Scout Series tents that come in at a much lower price point. The rincon tent has an annex that will fit 2 cots for the kids if they are too big to sleep in the tent with you.
Tell Graham I sent you!!
We will have our Overland Utility Trailers with Hinterland Industries Roof top tents(54" wide mattress will sleep 2.5 people easily). I will know pricing better in the spring.
Where are you planning on going? When are you going there?
We are going to have a pair of rental trailers ready by the spring in Western Colorado/Moab, UT area.
