Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Never had that much of an issue with mosquitoes. We used Thermacells and the mosquitoes coils we bought at Canadian Tire . Repellant as well. Zero bug issues along the Dempster
I was impressed on how well things were running. Even though the line getting in seemed slow, the parking was organized and people weren't blocked in .
An Expo first, trash containers , were nice to see placed all over. Also they were being emptied regularly.

In Deadhorse people have been camping on the beach right before the town. We stayed at the Aurora Hotel in Deadhorse. . Very comfortable. It was time for us to shower and do laundry so the hotel stop was perfect. The tour to the water was interesting . It is all in my article in the link...
Last summer, my wife and I spent three months and 13K miles traveling Alaska and Canada in our 1985 FJ60. We drove the Dalton to Deadhorse/ Prudhow Bay.
(great hotel there) Then we drove the Dempster/ Inuvik/Tuk highway to Tuk.
