We are driving around the world. Right now.

What a great introspective to overlanding through uncharted territory. Not many have those decisions to toil over. Very similar no doubt to adventurers going back hundreds of years. A coin toss...a gut feeling...but preparation and luck prevails and quests succeed...where many haven't...

    Overloaded

Pretty funny....and I removed my rear seats and stuck with factory tire sizing to save weight! @ Joaquin...Nice deal on the tires ; )

    Camp Photos!

hi Richard Beautiful spot...gotta say BC has some of the best there is to offer. Born and raised ; ) How do you find your RTT side mounted...we mounted ours so that the overhang offers some shelter to the back. Didn't have anyone to pick their brains. Just curious.... Steve

    howdy Overlanders...from China

hey Nathan Ya...the vehicle has been good so far and confidence just continues to build. I was a happy Saab owner back in the day and when I found out she had a Saab powerplant I was hooked. Looking fwd to taking off the doors and roof one day. Camping here is difficult and for sure we've been...

    Camp Photos!

Ya...likewise...horses and yaks just seem to materialize outta nowhere. Neither seem to branded but have different colours of wool woven into their hair. Some of the best bareback riders I've seen are up here on the TibetanPlateau...definitely the real deal when comes ranchin'

Post pictures of your camp kitchen

Love all the great ideas here...really amazing! Definitely has me thinking I need to make some improvements. Most of our overlanding is done at 5 - 6 month intervals...and some camps can last up to a month. I think the most important item is replenishing the kitchen...sometimes not an easy task...

    Vehicle Mounted Solar options

I would suggest the thin/flexible ETFE solar panels. Easy to mount (2 sided tape) and store if need be (we have 2 x 100w panels stowed between the roll bars and roof when traveling. For your charge controller I'd suggest an MTTP unit which is more efficient at delivering power. I built our...

    Camp Photos!

Gotta say I love camp photos. For some overlanding is all about the drive and getting their rigs over and through somewhat insurmountable terrain. That just scares the hell outta me...almost always we travel as one. Camp is time to relax and take in the satisfaction of getting there ; )...

    DIY Solar Generator

DIY is definitely a good way to go. I mounted a couple of 50w panels on the roof and tucked a couple of 100w panels between the roll bar and roof when not in use. Made up the battery box with an 100ah lithium battery. No inverter needed..mostly for fridge, lights and electronic gadgets.

    howdy Overlanders...from China

hey thanks for the warm welcomes guys... Really lookin' forward to checking out everyone's adventures and of course posting ours. Currently we're in the early preps to head North next Spring...up towards Inner Mongolia and then make our way across to the Tibetan Plateau. Should be another half...

    howdy Overlanders...from China

Looks like I could very well be the first member from over here. Ran across this site a few weeks backs and I've had my nose stuck in it ever since! Me and my miss' travel around in what's call a BJ40L 2016...kinda looks like a jeep (roof and doors come off and windshield folds down). Has a...
