I'll have to look for that and experiment. I normally have stew meat , and pressure cook it and good to go. I never use water I perfer dry red wine. gives more depth of flavor. . The small boxes of Cabernet Sauvignon are perfect for camping .

I've never seen that meat in a can . I usually use a pressure cooker when I make stew.

When I used to travel a lot to the Middle east and South Asia, I always had several Spam singles in my backpack along with some other snacks. I knew if the airline meal was not to my liking, I always had bread , butter and Spam . I still keep a couple of packs in my backpack when I travel.

On my FJ60, I used Velcro tape to place pockets where needed on the dash and door panels. Much more secure than an piece of rung o the dash. I used maxpedition Velcro pockets .

Don't forget the frozen peas!!

Tonight's dinner is a specialty of mine. Spam, Velveeta mac and cheese and frozen peas. It would be better if I fried the Spam but I like one pot meals , easy to clean great fir camping. This is a hearty dish ,very nutritious and really great anytime but especially nice on a cold winter...

Are you going to take the Robert Campbell Highway headed to the Dempster? Much nicer drive than the Alcan more scenery and mostly dirt. If you go that way stop in Faro. They have a great liquor store if you to resupply. The visitors center is really good.
