Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Magruder, there's the 10th, 17th..... East to West, rally point maybe Cabelas Missoula or Safeway in Hamilton (Bitterroot Brewing, see my thought) for anyone wanting to meet. @[23251:@Aaron Niemi] is interested, that's get him to the rally point via the 90. He can split from Elk City to the 95...
I'll have to look again, because I programmed GMRS and FRS channels on all my hams, and I get a family chewing the rag all the time like no other on a GMRS channel on the 2 portables, but I couldn't pick up any GMRS channels on my 8900 hard mount the last 2 trips. At least being able to...
After our campfire conversation last night, Im sold on getting a GMRS license for Canada trips, etc. even though I use all the before-mentioned. I can't stress enough, especially for people who don't live in logging territory but want to explore these areas, it's imperative to know where and...
Just got to the cabin. Oak is passed out, we both had an awesome time. All being said, I think if I backtracked to the mine and hit Fly Hill/Cedar creek, it most likely would have been open and The same travel time. I'll be cruising up in the next few weeks to check the trail conditions there...
For Hoodoo campers, I'll place a length of neon green field tape on a tree at the Hoodoo camp when I get there, but the spot is directly across the road from the Pass parking lot proper.
Yeah, we did discuss and adjust the time, but I just looked on Google maps, and it says 1hr46min. That would put you guys there at 11 mtn time.
That also effects what time I'll be at Hoodoo Pass, depending what side of the parking lot I park the rig on. Expected to be around 430 ish Pacific Time.

He should win an award for the comedic value of this write up alone. I used the heavy duty silver tarps, going on the end of two hard used seasons, and still look new. I opted for Cabelas flick...
255 would be the approach to Toboggan Ridge, which connects to the Lolo Motorway via Cayuse. The blowdown was pretty bad the past two years, so next week I'm going up to see if it's passable/saw work needed, then I'll put together a loop.
Since I'm taking a different route to recon a future trip, and mostly likely rolling solo, I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to post my path of travel to Hoodoo Pass tomorrow night. I'll be on the 250Rd from Pierce to Kelly Forks, then detouring on FR 255 (Moose Cr) back to Deception Saddle...
I have two DIY setups I built off evldaves writeup in Expedition Portal, I use them quite a bit for camp, fishing, working on the rig, at the range..... They come in handy when you hate the sun. My 50.00 investment has paid for itself several times over. I'm about to combine them into a 270...
I run the Magruder Corridor and Lolo Motorway quite a bit, it's my backyard. If you ever want to run either or both, I just need about 9 or 10 minutes notice.
I'm not the fanciest with electronic gizmos, but the coordinates for Hoodoo Pass are 46.975458, -115.02652080000001
It comes up quite easy on Google maps. From that world famous Pilot station, head along the river on Diamond Rd, which gets renamed Trout Cr/FR 250 for about 25 miles. If you...
Hey Chief, about where is this Table Camp? We tried scouring for it this weekend on maps to no avail. I'm trying to plot out a return route via the backcountry.
The only reason I have CB is because I live and ride in logging territory, you NEED to know when and where those trucks are rolling. I've had Ham because it has the best chance of getting out over steep mountain terrain, and at 15 dollars for a 10 year license, it's way cheaper than GMRS.
I...
From Pierce it was right around 4 hrs, with a few dog dewatering stops. Most of the gravel portions have recently been graded, a few small bumps on Black Rock, but I didn't even air down, and most any rig can drive it. FYI, people were getting cell service at the Kelly Forks Work Center.
If...
