Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Probably. Didn't even know there was a paid version. Does it have any other features that the free one doesn't, besides not having ads? I haven't played with it enough to decide if I want the paid version.
I tried Backcountry Navigator today, along with CalTopo. Didn't really work out the way I wanted, but it was a last minute discovery and I didn't have time to get very familiar with them. I'll have to spend a bit more time on them to see how they work. Regardless, I'm not thrilled with the...
Daniel, thanks for posting those links.
Grizzly, thanks for posing the question in the first place. Didn't even know these were a thing until I saw this thread.
This is all I've got at the moment, besides my OB member number patch. I'm saving that for a jacket or something. I have a lot of iron-on and sew-on patches that I've had since I was a kid that I've been thinking about sewing velcro onto. Some of my Dad's Air Force patches, patches from...

The Wifey and I geocached for a while, but just gradually got away from it somehow. We recently decided to start doing it again. We're going out tomorrow, in fact.
Like many of you, I also carry nearly everywhere I go. Where I'm going and what time of year it is will influence my options, but at the very least I'll always have a handgun for defensive purposes. I also like to bring along one or more of the .22s just to plink with if I find myself...
There's a little spot in the back of the Xterra, between the wheel well and the back as it curves around to the lift gate, that a propane tank fits perfectly in. Almost like it was designed with that in mind. Don't know if it was, but it sits in such a way that it won't interfere with my load...
Has anyone tried the Little Red Campfire? We are considering this as an alternative during campfire bans in areas where propane fires are still permitted. Thoughts?
