Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I’m getting ready to build a platform in the back of my Jeep. I haven’t decided if I should sound deaden and insulate the rear at the same time. Or if I really even need to. Did you do either? What did you use?
You’ll lose some mileage no matter what. A smaller basket will have a smaller footprint, so you may now lose as much with one of those. But just adding crossbars May effect mileage. It doesn’t make any difference between the two as far as stuff falling off is concerned. You have to strap...
Thank you! It will have to be portable for the teardrop. I don’t want any more holes than necessary. I’m sure there’s a easy way to mount one though. I’ll need to have the teardrop here though. Right now I’m thinking heater in a toolbox.
Do you have any pictures of your heater? I’m planning on building some kind of heat set up for the new trailer. I haven’t decided between propane and diesel yet.
Well, it’s official! We put our down payment in for a Oregon Trailer DoDrop Alpha today! It will be 6-7 months before we take possession. This year is going to drag by! Check them out at Oregontrailer.net

If you’re looking to wire it directly to your battery, it is very easy. Red wire to the positive post(+). Black wire to the negative post (-). That is the preferred way, but honestly, I’ve never had any issues using a lighter plug as @Graeman already suggested.
This is a great idea! We pick up whatever we can everyday. I do it at work, in the Walmart parking lot, whatever. I’m happy to be able to make events to better our cause.
That’s exactly what I would do if I owned it. I have been looking for an reasonable enclosed trailer to build. I just recently decided to seriously put some thought into an Oregon Trailer DoDrop Alpha. (We find out more on it today in fact.)
I’m looking forward to following your build!
