Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Yeah there’s a lot of liability on the MFG when it comes to quoting weight limits. But I’ve seen guys do a cab mounted RTT on nothing but Thule... so... there’s options

They can mount directly to the factory roof rack mounts under the weather stripping that runs along the top of the Taco. I've seen a lot of guys running Prinsu + Thule for a RTT, but I don't know exact details. TacomaWorld...

I've got my eye on 3 or 4 types of bolt on's, but I'd spring for a solid weld on kit if there's someone local and the price is right.
