Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I'd have to sit down and plan out what I specifically wanted to see, but I guess I'd basically head east for two weeks, then turn around and head back along a different route.
We don't usually get that hot and dry until around August or so. We had a much colder and wetter winter than usual this year, so I'll be surprised if it gets that bad this summer.
We had a shooting party scheduled at our place today. Most people cancelled because of the heat. Those of us who were here didn't shoot long, maybe 2 hours tops. Came back down to the house and had BBQ in the shade instead.
A little spot I found about half an hour from my house. I ended up not actually staying the night due to mechanical problems. Got the rig running, but it was running rough, so I decided it would be better to pack it in and head back than to take the chance that it wouldn't start in the morning.
These are from a trip with some buddies about 7 years ago. Nothing fancy, but significant because it was the first time I camped somewhere other than a campground. The black Chevy was mine. It was stolen last Christmas, which led to me buying the Xterra.
Why so much for a key fob? I don't know much about Tacomas, so maybe it's different. But when I bought my Xterra, it had one fob, which didn't work. I bought two off ebay for less than $10, found a video on YouTube that showed how to program them myself, and I was all set. Is that not...
Me too. Which is odd, because redheads are my kryptonite.
Back to the subject at hand, though, I've always been a truck guy until now. I did have a Bronco some time back, but that was simply a matter of the right price at the right time. My last off-road toy was a Chevy truck, but it got...
That's a cool idea. I don't get out of my own region very often, but I am hoping to make it to Moab next year. And I could probably be persuaded to sneak down into California one of these days.
Welcome, neighbor! Greetings from Oregon.
I know what you mean about wet side vs dry side. I grew up in central Oregon, and now live in the Valley. Living in a place where it rains 9 months out of the year is starting to bum me out. I really want to get back to the high desert.
