    Pacific Northwest

One of the things I love about living here is the diverse landscape. Coast, rain forest, mountains, high desert, sand, mud, snow...we have everything.

    ExpeditionOverland: South America 2017 - Debuts 10/27/17

Great episode. ***SPOILERS*** * * * * * * * * * * * * I was really feelin' it for you guys when it looked like you were gonna have to double back to the Chile side. I actually said, "Oh, no!" out loud, LOL. I'm glad it worked out so that didn't have to happen.

    Seattle astrophotography meetup April 7-8

Even though I RSVP'd as a Maybe, it's really more like Probably. The only things that would prevent me from coming are work related, which I won't know for sure until closer to the date. I'll be there rather more likely than not, though.

    CB tuning help?

I bought this one. It came with easy to understand instructions. I'd never done it myself before, but discovered it was quite easy. Only took a few minutes.

    Covered and other beautiful bridges

@OregonTrail4runner , how long does it take to cool down enough to pack it away? Unless we're staying multiple days in the same spot, we usually roll out right after breakfast. Typically, I'm breaking camp while The Wifey is cooking.

How far do you drive per day? Miles(Km) or Hours?

Terrain dictates. It depends on the type of trip you're taking, and as Robert said above, what your goals are. If you're doing something like Backcountry Discovery Routes, you'll likely be spending more hours behind the wheel, though probably not as much distance. You'll still want to plan...

    Seattle astrophotography meetup April 7-8

I'm new to astrophotography, and would definitely be up for a meet. Here are a couple of my better shots. Not great (exposure time was a bit too long), but not horrible either.

    Overlanding for work!!!

Not currently, but when I was a scout, I spent some quality time overlanding in HMMWVs. One of the things that drew me to overlanding was how much some of the skills I acquired as a scout translated to this. @Rubyredfozzy and @outwardbound , check out Veteran Overland. We're a newer group...
