I've been looking at some of those as well.

I have one. It's fantastic for normal wear, or hiking in cooler weather. Too warm though for hiking in warmer weather like we're having now.

I've been seeing that one come up a lot too, but it's a bit on the spendy side for me.

I've never heard it called Obsidian Flats, but the location where you have the pin is indeed Glass Buttes. If you go through there, take it kinda slow. Obsidian is literally everywhere, including in the road. Most of it in the road is small, but there is the occasional tire killer lying about.

I was looking at Frogg Toggs earlier. They were mentioned by someone in the thread @Boort shared. Could be a contender.

I picked up the Stanley Mountain Vacuum Coffee System for my last trip, and I love it. I posted a quick review a few weeks ago. It only takes a couple of minutes, so if more is needed, it's no hassle to brew a second round.
