Recommendations For Breathable Rain Jacket For Hiking?

I gave these another look, and I'm liking it a lot. It's more than I want to spend, but it does have all the features I want. And it's a lot less expensive than it's competitors with similar features. The more I look around, the more I realize that what I want probably isn't going to be...

Recommendations For Breathable Rain Jacket For Hiking?

Good to know, thanks. I've seen a lot of jackets described as having DWR, but didn't know what it was.

I've been looking at some of those as well.

Recommendations For Breathable Rain Jacket For Hiking?

I have one. It's fantastic for normal wear, or hiking in cooler weather. Too warm though for hiking in warmer weather like we're having now.

I've been seeing that one come up a lot too, but it's a bit on the spendy side for me.

    Oregon Outback

I've never heard it called Obsidian Flats, but the location where you have the pin is indeed Glass Buttes. If you go through there, take it kinda slow. Obsidian is literally everywhere, including in the road. Most of it in the road is small, but there is the occasional tire killer lying about.

Recommendations For Breathable Rain Jacket For Hiking?

I was looking at Frogg Toggs earlier. They were mentioned by someone in the thread @Boort shared. Could be a contender.

    Oregon Outback

Looks like a fun trip. Unfortunately, all my vacation time for this year is already allocated. I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops. I see you've got Fields marked on your route. I've never quite made it that far down, but I've heard the little cafe there has fantastic food. I...

    Coffee Set Ups

I picked up the Stanley Mountain Vacuum Coffee System for my last trip, and I love it. I posted a quick review a few weeks ago. It only takes a couple of minutes, so if more is needed, it's no hassle to brew a second round.

Recommendations For Breathable Rain Jacket For Hiking?

Here on the wet side of the PNW, it rains an awful bloody lot. I've had a lot of weatherproof/waterproof jackets over the years which have served me well for normal wear and activity, but I've never had anything that's great for hiking. All the features that keep the rain out, also tend to...

That's a good idea. Never thought of using those.

I was afraid of that. I'm down for a reschedule, though.

MaxTrax DIY mount on AllPro Tacoma rack

Nice. I've been thinking of something similar for my Maxsa boards when I get my roof basket, but I hadn't really fleshed it out yet. This gives me a more solid idea. Any thoughts on security, or a way to lock it down so they don't get stolen? I was kinda thinking of drilling a hole through...
