Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I will say last years East was by far the best experience that we have had and that was because we were able to get the majority of the OB members together at the camp. Some great conversations about what the day held, modifications done to the rigs and trips were shared around the fire.
@Wawa Skittletits so turns out I will be in Orlando Nov 5-7th for a training I have to lead so unfortunately I will not be able to get to flag pole Wednesday night but still should not be an issue meeting up Thursday!! Looking forward to it!
I’ll keep the post updated on the performance of the REDARC, curious to see how it maintains the accessory battery. Hopes are we pull into camp closer to 14 volts rather then 13.
Also from what I have read the solar controller in the unit is very good.
Nice! Some really good upgrades on this list! I saw that you were looking at the magnum rear bumper have you checked out Expedition One? They have a few good options for the front and rear bumpers
Ya that’s definitely an option, I want to say the EBC upgrade was around a 1k all around , the big brake kit is around 4K for front and rear but the larger pistons should cut down on wear and the need to have to replace often.
The EBC set up is definitely better then stock but no where close to enough to keep up with the 37s and the weight of the truck. Main reason we went with the 20s over the 18s is to upgrade to the Toyota or Brembo big brake kit.
@Wawa Skittletits @outwardbound sounds like a plan! Shouldn’t be an issue getting down to the restaurant by 3-4 on Thursday.
@Wawa Skittletits I’ll let you know if we can get down to flagpole on Wednesday night!
Got the truck back today, news wheels are on the truck! I really like the color and style with the look of the truck. Put on a new set of Nitto Ridge Graplers in 37s, was going to try the BFG KM3 but they don’t make them in a 37x12.5R20.
Also had the REDARC BC/DC controller installed will keep...
Decided to get some new wheels for the truck. Saw these at expo west and couldn’t stop thinking about them! Should have them on the truck next week with a few upgrades to the electrical system as well!
Upcoming Mods:
REDARC BCDC 40amp solar ready charger
BLUE SEA M2 controller.
Will be at...
Got to take a look at Expedition Overland’s tundra at Expo West and they used a Washer Fluid relocation kit to put the second battery under the hood.
Seen a few kits online for battery trays under the bed. Tucks the battery pretty far into the tray.
