    Waterproofing the Plano Sportsman box

Based on this writeup, I did this to both of my Plano boxes (one for camp kitchen stuff, one for dry goods) and the results have been great. Both boxes sit in the bed of my Tacoma. So far, there's been no water intrusion during the light rain I've experienced, and no dust intrusion the rest of...

Does anyone take mountain bikes on overland trips?

I'm with you. I see a lot of hate for e-bikes, and while I don't own one, I've ridden a VERY well-spec'd version of the Specialized mountain bike and I get it!

Does anyone take mountain bikes on overland trips?

Long-time mountain biker here. I know there are a lot of places we travel that don't allow mountain biking. I'm definitely not asking about that. My question is how many of you bring bikes to ride legal trails? Asked another way, we already bring so much stuff when we travel, how do you feel...

    "Lifestyle Overland" Interview

100% agree. My wife and boys have really enjoyed their stories. They’re very relatable and I’ve learned a ton from their channel. Many thanks for the great content @Lifestyle Overland!

Hello from the San Joaquin Valley, California

Howdy, Xenolith. Welcome! I'm on the East Coast now, but grew up in Visalia, not too far up hwy 99 from Bako. I'm fairly new here myself, but have found that there's a wealth of knowledge and experience to tap into as you get your feet wet. Enjoy!

Ground Tent camping on overland trips

If I were going solo, I'd be all over one of these. Looks like a great solution.

Ground Tent camping on overland trips

Ended up pulling the trigger on a Gazelle T4+ this morning. Stoked to put it to use!

Ground Tent camping on overland trips

Yep, this is where I'm at as well. I'm confident I can figure out the transportation part of it, as long as the tent itself is the right fit for our use case. I agree that the T4 Plus is probably where I'm going to end up. The Crua Core is an inflatable, and I'm all about minimizing failure...

Ground Tent camping on overland trips

I had the same question. RTT seems like a bit of overkill for me at this point ($$$). Does anyone have any experience with the Crua Core tent system? Need something good for a family of 4, but dropping thousands on a quality RTT isn't in the budget.

Overland Enthusiasm High, Experience Level Low

Hey there all, after watching OB content on YouTube for several years, I finally registered for an account. I’ve been working toward an Overland setup for a few years, and finally have a worthy vehicle in the fleet (my Volvo wagon wasn’t going to cut it). Long term, would like to work toward...
