Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Hey Tucker I won't be able to make it on Thursday this week. I'm going to be packing up for a Trip up to the Sequoia's and we are leaving at 5:00 am Friday morning! Have a good time and have fun out at Corral Canyon next weekend!
I'm going to the river this weekend and to the Sequoias on Memorial weekend, so I won't be able to make it. But you should still plan something, the problem with planning things, is that the timing never works out for everyone every time.
There are some cool camp spots there, if you get there early. Unfortunately the roads there are all graded so you will be competing with Honda Civics and such for the prime spots. Needles to say the wheeling isn't that great, but the views are epic.
Gravity Heights sounds like a nice fairly central location, maybe we do a rotating location, every month. It would be nice to move it around to North County, South Bay and East County every once and a while to make it a little closer to home for those in different parts of the county.
Lorenzo, they were concerned about the first trail up in Julian they were going to hit up, Oriflamme looked to be Ok from their previous trip and your pictures. We will probably try and check it out next month before we organize a run up there. I'll keep you posted.
Looks like this trip might have to be an other day. No one was sure of the condition (or exact location) of the upper trail, so we will need to do some recon before we get this one set up.
We are going on the 24th, meeting up in Julian then taking a trail over to Oriflamme then heading down. Let me know if you wanna join and I'll get the details!
Even running dual batteries if your planning on it keeping you fridge running for a couple days, you'll be lucky if it lasts a day and you would need to recharge it by running your rig. I just run a single AGM battery and have a 200W panel and MPPT charge controller. I can stay pretty much...
