  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    Understanding roof weight limits

So I think that finding info will depend on testing and it is not likely that the mfr will load the roof to collapse. The dynamic load however affects suspension and handling because that raises the center of gravity and that affects performance both on and off road. Something the mfr is likely...

New Storage Solution (Prototype) and Lithium Dual Battery System - Thoughts?

I have no experience with printed plastic and question it's strength. I do have some experience with zip ties and would suggest on the final product you use hose clamps, UV is a killer to zip ties. Otherwise nice design and execution!

    Upgraded axe and shovel mount

Sweet! Do you find any issue looking for side traffic? Like when wanting to change lanes. I just looked at the Plano website, the 52" AW2 case is sold out at $209, the 52" Rustrictor AW2 at $249 is available and if the same mold gives dimensions. Then I checked to see what Nanuk has to offer...

Need Help With Wiring My LED Light Pods

Put it in some flexible tubing? You should only need 1 ground wire. You could put it all on a 7 wire trailer set up? https://www.homedepot.com/p/AFC-Cable-Systems-1-2-x-25-ft-Non-Metallic-Liquidtight-Conduit-6002-22-00/202286718

Warm gloves for fine motor tasks

If you take a medium plastic pill bottle and fill it with hot water you can stick it in your pocket for warmth. Just hold it every so often. Hot water not boiling. At home I keep a couple full and microwave them for 30-50 seconds, then go outside and work on the car or........

    ROAM OR PELICAN?

I have Pelican and Nanuk cases, Nanuk's are made in Canada, eh.? Similar sizes for both, Nanuk latches are different, very positive engagement and they are a little less costly. I picked up a couple of my Peli cases off Craigslist, older models yet still a lot of life left. https://nanuk.com/

    No more generators in California?

I think you guys are missing the point. My neighbors already have battery operated leaf blowers. I still do it the old fashioned way with a BROOM! Probably 80% of people in my Valley have home generators for when the power goes out. I bought mine in 94. So when the gas small engines are banned...

I don't intend on removing them for transport as they do fold. You can see images in my blog mentioned above.

One more con for the 1#; they usually get thrown in the dump. About the extra height; Are you that critical in getting under objects? Parking garage etc? No other place to put a larger one?
