Recently picked up the portable ARB Twin. I like it but dang is it big and heavy. I can move it between my Jeep and truck though. I still have two Masterflows but I need to convert them over to standard threads. One of the coiled hoses was split into 4 pieces when I opened it up recently
I miss that truck. It offroaded like a Jeep. I sold it to a friend to keep in the circle but he passed a few years later. I am not sure where it is now. :(
I have my TRX7 GPS mounted above my Pioneer deck. I doesn't block any of my view of the trail from my seated position. What you can't see in the main pic is the Scangauge II, CB and Ham handheld.
Synthetic rope on my Jeep. With a rock sleeve and safety thimble on it. I keep a cover on it when just parked (not a daily driver). I also carry splicing tools if on a longer trip.
I have a Noco GB70 in both my Jeep and my Cummins. The GB70 is a bit overkill for the Jeep. I am very impressed with them. I have also used the XP-10 HD. It was nice but I prefer the Noco units. A friend's XP-10 swelled up. My oldest GB70 is 2 yrs old now and seems to be doing fine.
I agree. More confusion happens when you throw gas monitors into the mix. Many people buy an all in one monitor. Propane gas is heavier than air and will collect near the ground. Natural gas is 40x lighter than air and will collect at the ceiling. Seldom are NG and propane used in tandem...
It is a common misconception that CO is heavier than air. It is actually slightly lighter (3%) but it is so close it should be considered neutral density in air. The best place to put a CO detector is near the level you will be sleeping at. Preferably between the sleeping and the possible CO...
I am a Dodge guy but I really like the Raptor. Still, I would go with the newer truck if they are close to the same price. Carli Suspensions is now making 1500 suspension systems so you can really up the performance of a Dodge1500 - even if you started with a base model instead of the Rebel...
I was really hoping for a great reveal but I am sadly disappointed. The 39k price point only gets you a 2WD with a 0-60 at 6.5 sec. Plus another 7k if you want to add any self-driving features. You will be spending closer to 70K for the AWD 0-60 in 2.9 sec model. That puts it closer to the...
I would never suggest testing it by disconnecting the starter battery. Besides need an exciter current to perform, your alternator produces spike and transients which a normal battery acts like a sink to dampen. I do not know how well the jump start battery will handle them. A lithium jump...
True. With the GB70 you have to go into override mode if you want to jumper a completely drained battery. Ran into that several weeks ago. Also ran into a situation at Home Depot where somebody was trying to jump somebody with a pair of cheap lousy cables. They couldn't get a truck going...
