Ain't that the truth?
I'm glad the Ranger is coming back, growing up we had a couple of Rangers until my dad got a 97 F150. Like @Steve said, my guess is it'll be slightly smaller than that generation F150 as the new ones are pretty large (and expensive)! Heck, even a Tacoma or Colorado are...
I've used the yellow box for several years and haven't had a crack. I place them on the top though so that might have something to do with it. I'd like to try out the bottle trick however. I've seen it recommended in several places and it seems like it would be a lot better space wise.
I carry two cast iron skillets, and a Dutch oven. The oven doesn't get used as much as the skillets, but I want to start making bread, etc. with it. I need to season everything and get it easier to clean up. Still kind of a pain, but I know I just need to use them more.
It's been a long strange trip. Lot of life going on. Got married in September, promotion in October, and bought a house last month. Trying to get back into some sort of normalcy.
Throwing mine out there again. Need to start using it more, has been tough this winter. I'll have to go through and add a bunch of people it looks like.

I think where you might be getting this from is the iPad (at least the older ones, not sure on the newer ones). The only way to get GPS on them was to have a cellular one. However most people Bluetooth a GPS puck to them for better signal anyway. Most Android (that I'm aware of) come with a...
I used to read Overland Journal, it's a nice magazine, but it is spendy. I'm thinking about subscribing again, but who knows.
As far as books specifically related to overlanding, there's the VDEG (Vehicle Dependent Expedition Guide), I just picked one up related to traveling in the US and...
Wow, I've been away from the party for too long. Had a lot of stuff going on in my personal life with a promotion (up in Maple Grove now), wedding, and buying a house. Midwest Overland Society is a group of us overlanders that get together once a month, the second Tuesday at Tuttle's in Hopkins...
On our honeymoon to Western South Dakota we took around 300 pictures. My wife used the camera on auto (she wants to learn more), and I was able to do Shutter Priority and play around with it to see how it affected the photos. Was great fun learning how to use it more. Now I want some different...
I've got them for my JK. They use the same screws holding the tail lights to the body, so they won't really protect them from much of anything. I like the look, so I'll leave them on, even though they stick out a bit and could catch on something that could do some damage.
