Been awhile since I have updated this thread (I am bad for that).
Since getting to WA, I have decided to strip out the trailer and those tool boxes and build a canopy set up myself.
It needs to be a few things eg, light, functional, aesthetically pleasing.
This is what I have done so far...
Mr Tank sleeps beside the car on his stretcher bed, he knows we are above him and loves it.
Cold wet weather he sleeps inside the Annex, and is the first one to bed.
You should do it.
Added a few more details today.
Installed a reset able fuse.
And a cover for the front. No hinges in town so made my own out of rubber for now.
Also my water connection set up and charging source at the rear.

So after this trip I made a list of things that needed to be done.
Cut out tailgate and install hinges / latches

Been working on the trailer after a 12hr work day to try and get the trailer liveable for a week long remote camping trip with my girlfriend.
Here you can see my wood work mock up of the toolbox supports. I also have secured the 90 liter water tank under the tool boxes.
Still a bit to do but...
Have had a few extra ideas since last I posted.
I have also given the trailer a quick coat of killrust primer green heavy duty for its inspection which was yesterday and it passed. Now I need to take it to MVR for compliance check and registration next week.
