Yes, they are. They just passed $1,000,000!
They are heavily trying to promote the Rumpl throw bundle, so some backers are upgrading their reward tiers... which frees up some of the Early Bird tier spots. Good luck! :)
Backer TIP!
*** Keep checking availability on pledge rewards.... I just snagged a $169 spot a few minutes ago when someone changed their the pledge reward! :)
Just got my General ticket this week. Extra is a work in progress. Currently running a Yaesu FT-60R in the rig.
KM6MTK checking in!
La Crescenta, CA (Los Angeles County - La Crescenta Valley Area)
UPDATE: Got a Yaesu FTM-400XDR as a gift... in the process of installing it in the rig this week.
The "Safety Plan", which is the lowest plan... includes just 10 text messages total per month, that's sent or received. After you exceed the 10 monthly messages, it's .50 cents per message. That being said, the plan also includes UNLIMITED predefined messages that you setup via the website...
Looks like the folks at BioLite are at it once again! :)
But that's a good thing. I'm sure my fellow OB'ers are familiar with their products, and may even own a few of their cool camp gadgets already. I for one love what these guys are doing, and will be backing this project as well. Just wish...
Not sure if anyone posted anything regarding this weekends HAMCON 2017 Event in Torrance, CA
I'll be there early AM on Saturday to take my Technician and General exams... and hopefully check out the deals to be had on any used mobile comms gear as well! :)
Here's a link to their official...
I think it's all about preference and what benefits each tent style or features work best for you and what your needs are. Here are my requirements for my over-landing tent, which totally differ from my regular camping setup...
1) Easy (not necessarily super quick), setup and break down. And...
What's your sleeping arrangement inside the tent? (example: 2 or 3 cots, side table, or do you just sleep on the ground)
I usually travel with my wife and 6 y/o daughter, so I'm hoping to fit two adult cots and 1 child cot if possible. Do you think this arrangement will work in an RV3 or should...
Thanks for your input BCBrian. I'm all about doing it right the first time, that's why I am doing my research, and asking as many questions as I can to others in the community with more experience in the X rig platform. Laying down cash on bandaids, or guessing is not my idea of money well...
Thanks, this helps a lot. I came across some info on OME in my research, but I don't actually know anyone locally that has had any personal experience with their products. In fact, I'm the only Xterra owner of all my friends and family. Everyone local to me seems to be rocking Jeeps and Toyota's...
Thanks for the info TreXTerra... If you where going to outfit a stock 2012 Pro-4x suspension today, what suspension kit or system would you recommend? I need to also consider the additional weight of the following add-ons: Shrockworks full front bumper (w/winch), and rear bumper with tire...
I admit I do enjoy the warm glow of the infamous Coleman white gas lanterns... However, I have recently retired mine for one of the new Biolite Baselantern setups. While not for everyone I'm sure, it works well for my families needs and the features are just amazing. Here's a video if anyone is...
Looks like Nissan had this on their radar and has now issued a recall repair order to recalibrate the ACU (Airbag Control Unit). So I imagine that most 2nd Gen Xterra owners will receive notice from Nissan soon, if not I would just stop by your local dealership and check. I'm actually typing...
Got it, looks like the store wasn't very clear when ordering, as they listed a replacement carrying bag right next to it. Thanks for catching that. Looks pretty nice, but the Shiftpod 2 is $1299 on sale is a little steep, I'm shooting for 1000 or under if I can.
Wow, those are nice. My only concerns would be price, doesn't included a carrying bag... and there doesn't appear to be enough ventilation for my liking. But I do like the roominess though! :)
I appreciate the suggestions. A co-worker of mine also suggested the Kodiak 10x10 tents that are more on par with the quality and material (canvas, etc..), of the OZTENT's at about half the price. I really would like to be able to stand up in the next ground tent that I purchase, also it would...
I had been trying to decide between the idea of putting an RTT on my X, but I decided that I better wait until I can save up for a utility trailer with rack mount setup. Major factors for my rig were.... 1) Cargo space when RTT is on... and 2) It's my opinion that the stock X's aren't the...
Thanks for the great info. I think I'm stuck somewhere between an RV4 and the 5. As I know its going to have to ride on one side of my Xterra roof rack with cases beside it during travel. I'm trying to keep the weight down as much as I can. BTW, I saw a video on the trick to getting it into the...
