    4runner payload paradox

I thought you were agreeing, I was just adding more thoughts. Icon used to be called Donahoe. The owner got busted for distributing child porn. After he got busted the name changed to Icon. He of course is no longer listed as being with the company but that doesn't mean he can't be a silent...

    4runner payload paradox

The suspension setup I listed had nothing to do with looks and everything to do with safety while carrying 500 pounds of weight in an SUV that had suspension capable of a mall run from the factory. Also chose parts on the basis of low maintenance and high reliability. Regarding Icon...an...

    4runner payload paradox

I didn't read the thread but when I had my 4 I carried at least 500 lbs on a daily basis including a aluminum RTT, fridge, and all the gear in the cab. I had load range C tires (BFG KO2's), RCI aluminum skids, C4Fab sliders, replaced the front coilovers with Eibach PRO coilovers (660lb...

    OB'ers vs Covid19

You haven't followed what I have been saying from the beginning of this discussion, so it is what it is. I'm out of words.

    OB'ers vs Covid19

Several people/coworkers where I work have tested positive. No one on my floor has. Which is impressive because every positive patient comes to us. We are the designated China virus unit. Only one co-worker was pretty sick and he is a respiratory therapist. He has since recovered. He was...

    OB'ers vs Covid19

I'm on the front lines of this thing and take care of the positive China virus patients in an ICU at the VA I work at, every day I go to work. I also served my country, take care of others who have also served my country, and am well aware of sacrifice and those that have sacrificed. I know...

    OB'ers vs Covid19

If that's how you interpret that phrase than....:disrelieved:....awww, forget it. Can't help here. Gonna go work on my fridge platform.

Again, taking freedoms away does not evolve a society.

    Tuff Stuff Ranger RTT opinion?

I do. I have an Eezi-Awn Blade. It is not cheap but is built like a tank, very high quality. It was a big expense but has proven to be worth it. I know with a big expense like this it is hard to not buy a Chinese made product. We all have a budget to adhere to and unfortunately sometimes...

    Tuff Stuff Ranger RTT opinion?

IMO, Made in China, don't buy it or buy used. Beside that it will probably be fine for your first tent. Full disclosure: I'm avoiding from purchasing all things made in China if I can help it. YMMV.

    OB'ers vs Covid19

Nothing good can come from having more freedoms taken away from us. The China virus is here to stay so may as well get used to it. Taking our freedom away because of it will not make for a better society.

    Mountain biking

Yeah definitely not that easy here. They are actually causing more people to expose themselves by having everything closed off. Cuz now people are parking along the road close together and riding the closed areas anyway. Could I do the same thing? Sure, but I'm just gonna wait until it all...

    Mountain biking

I have not been able to get out. It seems very strange to me that I can goto a crowded grocery store or Home Depot but can't take a bike ride or solo hike in the forest. :rage:

Finding a balance between camping and driving.

It sounds like you and I have very similar sleeping preferences as I hate mummy sacks also. I have never owned one and it was enough to try one out for 30 seconds at REI to know I will not be using one. Cool, thanks for the links on those products, I guess it's time to spend more money. :) .

Finding a balance between camping and driving.

I also keep my windows vented on my hardshell and have never had an issue with condensation. I do not have any condensation mat on the tent. I also use a coleman bag laid over me but have a truckers type heated throw under the sheet that I can plug into the 12 volt socket just in case I get...

    Open vs enclosed truck bed

They are all three and have served me well so far. They lock together solid with a clip on each side. I really like them and wish I had this setup a long time ago.
