basically, using the spinning tires as a winch
usually getting stuck means your tires don't have sufficient traction, but they still spin.
so what if we devised a contraption that looks like a winch spool that would mount onto the hub/wheel, to which we would fix a strap or chain or whatever...
it remains suboptimal, as i'll also be attending the appalachian rendezvous in uwharrie and will have sun-wed with nowhere to be, and I don't want to drive all the way back to Nashville and back. the earlier we can park on site the better
i'd start by being a little more specific about your goals. if you got your license so you can communicate practically with specific people (e.g. trail rides, ARES/emergency situations, wilderness hikes/hunts) then what you need to know is very different from other goals like building your own...
Aside from locks my truck has two dash cams and I keep one pointed at the trailer and if possible the other pointed at the most likely ingress (e.g. Road/trail I came in on)
As soon as I figure out where to put my spare tire I'll put a truck vault in the bed for valuables
