Cool, we have done 2 trips with a 3-4" blow up mattress back there with just the seats down in our 02 and its not too bad, my only worry with the storage is the clearance but sounds like its not too much of an issue. Looking forward to more pics and see where the truck goes from here.

Did you do any sleeping back there without the platform and do you notice any problems sleeping back there with the extra height?

If you just want to get to the top of Daniel out at Uwharrie the backside which you can get to from the Rocky Mountain Loop isn't difficult to get to the top. They have flattened the approach to the main rock climbing portion which also has plenty of places to go around the tougher options...

A friend and I are starting to look into more overlanding after a few camping trips on the trails in Uwharrie. Never been out that way but for sure looking forward to how it went for you.

Yea back to the outpost to air up and head home. Nice thing about URE is you could drive in hit 2 trails and be back out in under an hour if you wish or spend all day.

Yea we tend to get there around 9am or so and usually head out around 1.

We usually run 20-30 miles from the out post and back when I've checked it. That is with a little back tracking and doubling up on trails.

Well damn the first meet since I join and Ill be in Tennessee running our Rally Car lol. Hope it goes well and we can do this often always looking for more people to go out to URE with.

Hey thanks for this post it made my 4th a blast. Did Old NC 105 into Roseboro Rd then down Brown Mountain. Hope to make it back out and do some of the more intense sections with some on board air and a buddy next time!
