We have the small version of that one and its fantastic, a bit flimsy when not assembled but solid as a rock when you get it together and super compact.
Spring packs are pretty easy if you have the proper tools, 4 nuts on each side of the axle where they rest, and 2 bolts on either end of the spring pack. Biggest thing is having tall enough jack stands to keep the body high enough to let the axle droop all the way down to remove the spring...
My buddy and I are going GMRS but I'll always have a CB in the truck just cause you never know when it may come in handy or its the only thing someone in the group has.
So a buddy of mine finally got an off road capable vehicle and we made our first trip. Spent far too long on Gaia and gravelmaps.com finding where we wanted to drive along but the trip was worth all the prep. Plan was to leave Mooresville ~8am and maybe make it to Blowing rock and turn around...

The only problem with Trails Offroad is they are focused out west. I've seen the recommended a few times but that rarely mentioned. The OP is in Virginia which shows like 6 short trails and NC has 0
You can still do dispersed Camping out at Uwharrie we have done it a few times over the last few months. Plenty of places both out on the miles of OHV trails as well as all the gravel roads around Badin Lake. Most of the trails out there have plenty of places to go around any difficult parts...
Pretty sure its not your hardware but Gaias servers. I was planning a route on my gaming desktop last night and even then it was laggy when moving around the map setting waypoints.
Yea a lot of the DIY stuff looks essentially comes down to putting it all in a PVC pipe and having to take it out and assemble. I really want to go with a solution like this where its a zippered bag and just kind of folds out of it. Ill see if I can pick one up but looks like they are super...
