SO. Let's pick up where I left off here. I moved to Colorado in 2015 after transferring jobs from a Porsche shop to a Ferrari shop.
I then built a roof rack out of DOM tubing.
Then clearanced the fenders for the 33's.
I also installed a snorkel, lights on the RR, and added limb risers...
Hey folks! It's about that time of year again where trip planning needs to go an extra step to insure safety during snow travel. I wanted to post up a small 10 item list of things that I take with me through the higher-elevation cities, and I'd like you to add on what you usually take! Maybe...
So here's what I'll be doing (I think). The organizers have given us a $125 budget for food supplies, I think it'll be more than enough and I can donate my remaining credits to other people on the trek.
Monday
B: Hospital food (where I work)
L: On the road food
D: Mountain House Beef...
I totally understand :( I remember getting not so happy letters for changing out the CV shafts on my 4Runner because neighbors were unhappy. I do hope you find something!
I was looking at these online and they all have great reviews! I think Ill be giving them a shot on this trip. Good serving sizes, lots of different meals, easy to make, easy clean up.
Hey folks!
I'll be camping/wheeling with a group down in Moab, UT for a week and I'm looking into some freeze dried foods to cook for breakfasts and dinners.
I plan on making cold cuts for lunches, but breakfasts and dinners I'd like to experiment with.
What are your top 10 freeze dried...
Hey folks!!
I've got a smittybilt air compressor en route that I'll be hard mounting. My question is, where is your chuck located where you'd connect your air line to?
I've seen a few in the front/rear bumpers (both of mine are aftermarket, so I could hide something there), in the fender well...
Sold it awhile back, but my 1979 AM General DJ5-G. Only offroaded a few times before I sold it to make space in my garage- wish I had kept the top on it and turned it into some sort of army looking medical vehicle! Was super fun, rode like a go kart haha.
SO I have changed my plans- I'll be mounting my compressor in the rear quarter of my vehicle in a sound deadened area under my storage platform, and running the hook up like the Jeep JL fuel door kit (pictured).
Thank you! Im looking towards installing it under my rear storage platform inside the truck. I think itll help with overall filter cleanliness and temperature management! I wish I could spend that kind of money on my rig- maybe someday!!! :)
Hey Folks!
I have, en route, a Smittybilt model 2780 air compressor. The stats say that the heat shutoff is at 150 degrees F which is concerning to me if I mount in my engine bay. Does anyone have issues with engine bay mounted air pumps? I know this isn't the best air compressor out on the...
Now, I know that we can all go to separate vendors to have these created (I have one coming in soon) for our rigs- but can there be an "Overland Bound #xxxx" banner or larger serialized decal? I think it would be cool for easier member identification, (not that we need it) better marketing, a...
Hey guys and girls, tonight I have a bit of time on my hands so I would like to share with you everything I've done (some stuff I probably shouldn't have) to my 4Runner.
