    Represent and registry threads

I enjoy being a member in model inclusive groups because I feel like I can save some of the newer folks some time and money with their projects. Albeit I was never a member of any Mustang groups or Jeep groups when I owned them. Odd.

    Fly Fishing

Sweet thread! Homewaters for me are central Texas, catching bass on a 6 weight is too much fun haha. I've lived in northern colorado for the past 5 years and fish mountain streams and ponds for natural browns, rainbows and brookies. Honestly tho, i've had more luck near dams with rooster tail...

Trend Shift! From LED to Halogen: what say you?

Interesting you say that- on long trips overnight or desert runs, I get headaches from eyestrain with LED's but not halogen. We have blue Christmas lights out front of the hospital I work at and a few patients have stated that it hurts when they look at them. I want to do more investigating on...

Trend Shift! From LED to Halogen: what say you?

Has anyone else noticed/followed suit with the re-emergence of halogen offroad lighting? It seems that more and more rigs in my immediate area (Colorado) are switching to KC, Lightforce, and Hella, ditching their older light bars. Now, going from an Amazon light bar to some 100W KC's, I can...

    Emblem Restoration

Hey Scott, So basically I did 10oz of white distilled vinegar and 3 tbsp of sea salt. Let it sit for about 1 hour then wiped it down. Worked like a charm!

    07 4Runner could this work?

On a 2-3 lift, 33's shouldn't rub the body mount, they will most likely rub the front and back on your fenders. I didn't have to trim my body mounts until I went to 35's on my 04, but for peace of mind you COULD do it now. Wheel spacers (I run 1.5") shouldn't make you rub the body mount...

    Emblem Restoration

Hey folks! I've had my badge on the back of my 4Runner for about 3 years now and the mag sulfate has totally torn it up. Instead of purchasing a new emblem, I attempted a science experiment which is basically the "magically make a penny shiny" experiment. IT WORKED! Get a small bowl or cup...

Yup, it's another suspension question. But I desperately need your thoughts!

For what you are wanting to do, resi-shocks will be for looks unless you are running your forest roads at 60+ mph hitting whoops. LT can be great in the mountains with the right setup, but at that point you will have more variables to worry about driveline angles, rub, and availability of...

    Back seat delete?

All I can say on this is if you take out your rear seat, HOLD ON TO IT! When I tossed my rear seat for a full sized platform, I didn't know my family would grow and required my dedicated rig to become the mom car haha.

    Ironclads & Bunce School Road

Sorry for the late response! They are NOT in a national forest. They are old mining/logging/fire service roads that are more technical that the usual forest service roads. It seems that the Hotshots don't clear these roads because they aren't in high-risk fire areas and serve as fire breaks...

    Overlanding with "stock" 4X4

Going to get groceries is technically "overlanding" unless your grocery store is on a lake or in the ocean... take it where you wanna go, most likely you can travel to most all places in the US unless you go to a dedicated OHV park in which case you know you may be overstepping your vehicles...

    Ironclads & Bunce School Road

I frequent these trails, move fallen branches from them, and clean up their campsites when I can. They are both located in Allenspark, CO.

    Fake Overlanding?

This thread reminds me as to why I never really liked/associated with the term "overlander" and for some reason makes me wonder why I am on the forum aside from the neat bronze emblem lol.

    Moab, UT

Just got back from a trip with Homeward for Heroes and @Honeymooners . They are a group that hosts sponsored off-road trips for military, LE, Fire Fighters, and First responders; they take care of your fuel, food, camp site fees, etc... They helped me heal alot this week- I look forward to...

    Mountain House Meals

Hey folks, I just returned from a trip with @Honeymooners in Moab, UT. It was a great trip! For this trip, we cooked/prepared all meals at base camp (minus Wednesday which was awesome) so I decided to try out Mountain House freeze dried meals and give a review on each. For my lunches, I ate...

Heat Concern- Engine Bay Mounted Air Compressor

I just got back from a trip to Moab, UT and used my underhood mounted compressor a few times- no issues with heat cycles bringing my 35's back to street pressures.

    2004 Toyota 4Runner "Sasha"

At this point I had added an 84" EGO Bike Roof Rack, and purchased a 50" curved LED light bar. I couldnt find any mounts that I liked, so I fabbed up some out of aluminum, rivnuts, and screws. After awhile, I ditched the light bar from my roof rack. I then moved cities and didn't get to...
