Ok... In order to not sound too repetitive, I will forgo listing all the items everyone else has. I use most of these in my own recovery gear (except the winch, that will be my next investment). However I would be amiss if I did not mention the most obvious item, common sense! Use that and you...
After some extreme research I went with the Nitto Trail Grapplers. They had a lot of the same features that most others have and had great reviews. I also found the on sale at Extreme Terrains website!
As a Wrangler owner I concur. This is normally caused by loose or worn components in the steering system. Not difficult to fix (or have fixed if you are not mechanically inclined). Once things are back in spec, you should not have any serious issues with DW.
I have to agree! The travels and getting stuck are much less about the rig, and much more about the driver knowing what his/her rig can and cannot do.
I find it funny when I see guys with expensive “upgrades” to their rigs getting pulled out of a mud bog, simply because they were over confident...
I was thinking about how to capture the great photos while transversing an obstacle , and am considering getting a drone with “follow me” capabilities to catch the perfect video clips.

First thing to consider: Will making a living out of this allow me to still enjoy the activity? Often times folks start out enjoying an activity...
Nothing more dangerous (or humorous, depending on your viewpoint) than someone with tons of gear that they don't know how to use. I personally keep essentials that I need, or may use to help others, and drop the others. Besides the extra toys just cost weight, which means more fuel and less...
This is my main motivation... Whether the journey is a few days, weeks, or months; the main purpose of my treks is the journey! I outfit my rig to make it capable enough to take me places I would not have been able to see otherwise, but not being a rich man I cannot got crazy overboard with...
Never fear... If any of us had all the answers, we would own everything! We all have much to learn. In fact, the older I get, the more I realize I still have to learn. The MXT275 is a highly rated unit and should serve you well!
There are several good trails in IN. Interlake has some great views and a few different type of trails, depending on your driving pleasure! Brown County also has some great places to explore.
