I bought two Colby emergency valves. I find it hard to believe I would blow all four on a trip. If I do...well...I guess that's like having 5 flats on my last road bike ride in Mammoth last year. People stepped up and helped with tubes. I'm sure people would help as it seems like a great...
Your best bet is to call him. I told him the site was still having issues but I got my box a couple of days ago. Now...just need to be able to use them in places their aren't burn bans. But nice to have "just in case". Thanks Seb for reaching out to make sure I was taken care of!
You can always look at the Wilco Hitchgate. Have one on my 4R and I know their is a 5th Gen running one as well that I always see pics of. I like mine as I'm not a huge fan of the big metal rear bumpers...yet. :-)
I am a tentative on this one. Only reason being I fly out at 6:15am out of SFO for MN the next morning. So kind of depends how much time I had to pack the night before.
Prinsu Designs...best looking rack out there IMHO and is low profile so keeps the tent from being AS high. Aluminum so lighter and TONS of mounting options for equipment. Sturdy too. It's what I have on my 4R
So Dan...still interested in checking out that 4Runner? Some trips and meetings changed and @Michael and @Joel 11k said I had to go to this during an OB meet last weekend. Anyway, if a space opens up...sorry to be back and forth.
Prinsu. Love the way it follows the body lines and doesn't look as boxy as the others. I have my CVT RTT on top of it along with a CVT awning and mounts for Rotopax fuel and water. I could add mounts to the back or other side if need be as there is still room.
Awesome pics!!!! Thanks for sharing and wish I could have made it. Definitely want to get in on the next one. Lets hope it doesn't fall on a weekend I have something else planned. That spot looks amazing! I'm such a noob when it comes to the local trails. Love. That. Subie!
Interesting. Makes me wonder if he would mod something that is on the truck already then. May have to take it off so he can work. Guess I'll find out when the time comes. Thanks for chiming in.
Some good names there. Diablo Offroad looks more like a shop than a fabricator. I think I'm going to go to BAMF as I'm sure being in Benicia he also has the lowest labor rate. Seems the closer you get to the City/Peninsula the rates go up. I've put this on the back burner till March as I have a...
@fj80toyman Dang...after thinking I could make this, I'm out as well. It's that busy time of year for work and not sure I can take those days off to get down there. I'm sure someone will love to have my spot! Have fun guys!! Next time.
Dang...just saw this. Have a prior obligation on Saturday but this would have been perfect to try out the new RTT and meet some local folks. Hope you guys have fun and plan another one of these one-nighters soon!
Just checking in to say hello and glad to be part of the group. I'm in Dublin, CA and there seems to be quite a few Bay Area folks so I look forward to meeting some of you at some excursions and/or meetups. The 4R is one of two projects so I hope to have enough time...and money to get out and...
Did some poking around and there is Bay Area Metal Fabrications in Benicia. I'm going to give him a call and try and stop by one of these days. Was hoping to get a place a little closer as I'm sure it will take multiple trips for what I want, but hear his stuff is good. Some guys on the T4R...
I'm looking to make some modifications to my Wilco hitchmount carrier to add mounting points for my Treds, a 3.5lb propane tank mount and possibly a Rotopax mount. Anyone here do any welding/fabricating or know anyone close in the Dublin/Pleasanton/Livermore area or close that they can...
