Oh I'm in for some trades. Looks like I'll be stopping at my little beer store to pick up some more beer. I'm bringing some Alvarado St (Monterey), Bike Dog (Sac), Modern Times (SD) and Firestone (#005) and some Sante Adairius growlers and a Kern River growler from when we stop on the way down...
So just curious...how long will this trip take. I know it will be Friday and Saturday. But what time on Sunday would you anticipate us finishing the trail? Early morning? After lunch? Thanks Making sure I have enough food! HAHA
I was planning to leave Dublin around noon on Thursday. Part of me wants to leave a little earlier and hit up Kern River Brewing on the way down for a late lunch. Great food and beer there. A "tad" out of the way, but not too bad.
Woot!!! So looking forward to this. Maybe update the list to "paid and going"? That way people can see about meeting up with other folks in the area and driving down together? I know it would be work, but listing names by region like WA/OR/NorCal/CentralCA/SoCal/NM/CO/TX/Etc I'd do it I just...
OK. Awesome man!!! I'll bring some good cans as well. I'll be in a Salsa Red 4Runner with CVT RTT and awning. Looking forward to this trip and meeting some new folks.
Soooo...uhhhh @Ryan Matthes Any way you can mule a couple of La Cumbre 4pks up for me? I love me some good beer and we can't get them here in CA. Love the Elevated IPA and the Red Ryeot. I can send you paypal or give you cash when I see you. And extra for picking it up and bringing it. If...
It's not a park rule, it's an FAA rule. I've had to take my test as I fly one commercially for my company. But...if you are careful and don't annoy others there is no harm in my book. It's things like flying next to airports or in my case flying over a military facility and a prison that can't...
Canned for sure...I plan to bring a couple of growlers as well from a top notch brewery to share.
@Tom K It's too bad Cellarmaker out of SF doesn't can. Only bottles. But they make realllllly good stuff
Wasn't thinking too much about this trip...but more Yosemite, Mammoth, UT and CO trips.
As for the shipping of PETT...I found issues as well trying to get Rotopax shipped to me on Amazon. They wouldn't do it.
Sounds like the wag bags are lined with the "poo powder"? Am I wrong assuming that? Great...guess I'm spending more money for this trip. Luckily this is stuff I can use in the future. Next I'll have to look into airtight/bear resistant food containers.
OK....well Wag Bags it is. Looking at the Cleanwaste portable toilet too as I like how it folds up flat. Been looking at picking up a CVT privacy tent for showers and utilizingthe toilet on longer trips. Maybe the time is now.
So uhhhhh, 23d...it says "provided toilet". I'm assuming provided by ME. Sooooo, who can provide a good toilet system? Emptying this thing will do amazing on my gag reflex. Ugh. I saw one at REI that looked like a big Home Depot bucket with a lid. Recs? Thanks...I know a little off topic.
Just sent Paypal! @Michael @Joel 11k @Tom K Any plans of a caravan down? I'm planning to drive down Thursday at some point and stay at the Avi Casino that night. Was thinking of leaving around noon but that can change if there are plans for a convoy.
I used this www.hamstudy.org to study and it was awesome. For the Technician license I went thru every question (hide the distractors, button on upper right). I then went thru the flash cards completely. I then took a couple of different practice tests spaced out here and there. It's only 35...
