    Nothing fancy like you all. The first image is from a backroad entrance into Yosemite National Park (free) from Fish Camp to Wawona. The other is on one of the Sequoia National Forest roads (not sure which one, perhaps 13S02).

    Eating utensils traditional or new age?

    Spork, that's it. Unless I plan on having something that requires a knife, then I bring that too. I try to cook all my meals like I would backpacking, so whenever I go car camping somewhere I make the same style meals. 99% of the time a spork does the job. I use a Sea to Summit Alpha.

    The Quest for the Best Knife.

    I have a Ka-Bar Becker BK2 that I use for car camping and backpacking. Have never had any issues using it whether it be cutting up wood for a fire or food and other things. Thing is literally a beast. It does weigh a bit more than most knives however.

No special rig as of yet, just a Honda CR-V AWD that I use and go as far as the trail will allow me to. Have done a ton of backroads and what not back East with family...
