Have you considered a bolt in cross member brace to go under the oil pan and keep the engine mounts from rotating down wards. 750l lb engine on a square tube frame wall is a bit of a load on a small area of the mount. Just thinking if (when) you get the thing a little air born the mounts...
Did I just see calipers in use with actual prints and cad models?? Crazy detailed and excellent work.
I usually go cardboard template to outlined on steel and plasma cut it out.
All those young jeeps with those new fangled removable tops and doors.
Back in my Jeeps day they had 9 foot beds and a 3/4 ton rating factory.
1958 Jeep FC-170 (in progress)
Heat and A/C mounted up now I know what space I have for the center engine cover and tunnel. I can't wait to get all the metal work done and have the cab sandblasted.
You need a really loud ticking wall clock in the shop. Works wonders for not letting you lose track of exactly how much longer something is taking than you thought it would. (I have one) :grimacing:
Glad no one was seriously hurt.
Had that been me the Raptor driver probably would have been pulled from his wanna be baja rig and give a few extra bumps and bruises just to make sure he doesn't forget that he was endangering others lives with his stupidity. :rage:
Either a Jeep Cherokee (for solid front axle) or an older chevy suburban for the additional interior space.

Finished up the bed sides and tail gate, slightly heavy but turned out decent.
Just have to finish up the gooseneck hidden hitch access hatch.
Its progress and I'll take it.
Beside the fears already said I would say mine is more of a worry. It is that I'll spend all day heading out to a certain spot only to get there and find 30 other people already there in my place of calm and quiet nature.
I scraped up enough energy from being sick all week to take advantage of the 60 degree weather last night and got one of the side racks completed.
Slight progress but I'll take any I can get.
