We just rolled in. Aside from a huge tree that MAYBE our 28" bar saw could take blocking the trail, causing a slight reroute, no problems to Wallace.
Thanks for setting up the trip Steve, and I really appreciate the tip on the lake! It was fantastic!
I'm pretty sure @Aaron Niemi is subscribed to this thread.
We've been pretty good at rolling out of camp early with Oak and his dawn patrol waking everyone up. If we don't meetup in Ponderay (don't want to hold up the cattle drive) we'll most likely hit you via the radio and catch up at Lunch...
Aaron filled me in. Ellis and I will be at Roman Nose CG Friday afternoon, then we're doing sections to Wallace. You are more than welcome to come up!
You wouldn't happen to know how long it takes from Roman Nose back to Sandpoint? We can try to run into you.I
I was going to try and fit in a...
I know 250 and 255 well, 2 main routes to MT from the cabin.
The 500 rd ( LM Motorway) and Tobbogan ridge are open now. Tobbogan gets a little tight for a full size. Some nice dispersed camp spots about a mile from Cayuse JCT on Tobbogan. Watch for more motos this year, for sone reason they...
I've lost my ride. I guess i put it on the Elise Lake thread. Ellis has to stay in the area since the Fire Chief and Asst Chief are out of town and he's the only otger officer.
My buddy's just died after only a few months, but he contacted Costway and within 12 hrs they offered a full refund or replacement. He had it mounted in a custom box in the bed of his Taco. Mine gets bounced around daily on trails and transferred quite a bit, nice to know the customer service is...
Ugh, we've hit another glitch. Both our Fire Chief and Deputy are gone for a week starting Tuesday, leaving Ellis as the only officer in the Dept. It's wildfire season, so he needs to stay in the area.
I'm going keep a close watch on the weather. I really don't want to camp in the rain, ride in the rain, then sit in the back of my pickup with dog and gear in the rain to shuttle people, then get back to camp soaked. Been there, done that, except for the riding in the bed of the pickup part.
While I'm a seasoned mountain biker and retired San Francisco commuter, 15 miles of tempo pedaling would be perfect for rehabbing this stubborn ankle.
But knowing me, i'm still bring my road rash and trail repair kit.
That's my back yard and my express route to the panhandle and northwest MT. Is some looking for conditions? Right now the twofiddy is closed from Pierce to Bungalow, 2ft rotten snow, and Kelly Forks to Hoodoo Pass. The latter probably won't be open for at least another month, but if someone...
There is nothing wrong with this methodology if you are interested in a 12v fridge. The Costway 54 comes with the 12vdc outlet and an AC cord, so the genny option would work very well. Though not with this fridge/ freezer, I did play for several years with coolers, cold boxes and genny-run...
I learned from youtube videos, mainly on how to build your own solar generator. I fear electronics, but if sonething happened to my boyfriend, I'd have to learn pdq how to troubleshoot our cabin's system. The link I provided is a monitor on your phone that tells you the temp of a fridge...
And where I am in the Idaho Rockies, even 100 degree August days, nights fall below 50F, 40s in the high country. So far, with the transit bag and an extra layer of reflective inside, I can turn the unit off for 8-10 hours and my goods will still be frozen.
I'll go ahead and order the goods, if I take my time, I can probably do it, but don't be surprised if I start whining. I'm going to try to link this to the Costway thread.
