yeah, I tried a 2.4a charger, no difference. I tried a 25000mAh power bank and so far so good

Telluride/Silverton area dispersed camping in August

When are you thinking you'll be there? I'm planning on heading that way the first weekend of October. If I read everything right, that should be a non-hunting week up there.

    Garmin Hacked. Looking for update.

That's exactly what I was thinking, arson after the burglary. You must assume that everything was compromised.

    Garmin Hacked. Looking for update.

Not necessarily true. There's no way to tell how extensively they were compromised without some sort of forensics.

How do you get weather updates with no cell service?

I used to not care either, until I was camping away from cover once when I saw the flash and heard the bang at the same time. I got a little more weather aware about pop up thunderstorms :)

Check out Dos Rios near Mason. There's nothing too technical out there, but it's a nice drive.

Stony pass CO with 4x4 sprinter?

Stony is pretty rough on the west side of the divide, I banged up my skids pretty good on it. It''s definitely easier going from Silverton towards Creede but it's really nice at the top. I was there last week and Pole Creek wasn't a problem at all. I probably wouldn't pull a trailer on...

Telluride/Silverton area dispersed camping in August

This may be a little south for you, but outside of Silverton there are two good dispersed camping spots. One is to the northeast on Stony Pass. There are a few good spots along the Rio Grande there, and near Bear Town. Trails Offroad has some waypoints in their gpx files. If you're on Stony...

    Gaia Tablet Options

I've got a Samsung Galaxy Tab A, I think. It's my second one. Anyway, it runs everything well and works fine with my Garmin GPS. The issue I have had with both is that they charge very slowly on my car charger. The charging won't even keep up with battery usage. I also have a small solar...

    Fly Fishing

Hey Chris, where at in CenTex? I'm in New Braunfels. I've been talking to the folks at Gruene Outfitters and am planning on taking fly casting lessons when the weather cools off. I've done a lot of bass fishing and inshore/nearshore fishing in the past. Now I want to learn my way around a...

Where did you install your OB emblem?

I think you note your member number in the order form or someplace. I ordered a 2nd one a while back and that's what I did. Good luck!

    Bedourie cooker/Dutch Oven.

Let me know how it goes for you. I am a fan of Shauno & Graham too. I've got an old dutch oven that I need to retire.

    Trans America trail

Wells that's what I was wondering after watching a bit about it on Jay Leno's Garage. At one point they've got a spotter. My dog doesn't make a good spotter.

    Trans America trail

Has anyone done the "Shadow of the Rockies" part of the TAT? I'm just wondering how gnarly the CO section is, like should it be two+ vehicles? I was thinking about doing as much of that loop as possible the first week of July.
