Weight you carry?
Type of off roading you do?
Size and type of tires?
A lot of us started with OME but eventually we realized that a Full Coilover setup was best. I personally tried several options till I finally stuck with my Radflo setup.
I use a Smitty XRC 10 Comp with synthetic and I have winched out a vary of size rigs with no problems. My buddy winched me out of a ditch with his Warn 8k winch.
I used to keep a recovery bag with winching gear, recovery gear, tire repair, first aid, gloves, tools, shovel and much more in my rig until someone broke my window and stole it. Anyway now I keep my recovery bag out of my rig till I go on runs.
