Best places to go in north new Mexico!

I would normally suggest the Gila, but it will be cold down there also, Reserve NM is getting into the low 20’s at night, so I would go with Big Bend also. Unless you are geared up to camp in cold weather, stay out of the mountains in Northern NM, I have traveled over snow in early June on some...

Dometic Fridge in Pickup Bed and Bear Country

I have been lucky, done a lot of camping in the San Juan’s & Gila NF, been to Alaska twice and the Arctic Ocean once and never had a bear problem with my ARB fridge or Yeti cooler (cooler always outside). We have lost 3 trash cans at home, because a bear has rip of the bear proof lid. Not sure...

    Best gps nav, ?

Yes some common sense is need. The wife’s Lexus when coming from Pagosa Springs to ABQ will take you down hwy 84 to Tierra Amarilla and then want to turn you on hwy112 which most of it is dirt/mud and go over to hwy550. After you pass hwy112 and keep south on hwy84, it will take a while and...

I use my Toyota Map sometimes, but it’s routes can be really weird, so I also have CarPlay and can use Google or Apple Maps unless there is no cell signal. For off road, I carry paper maps, Benchmark, NFS and on planed trips, I use Gaia on my iPad (like iPad better, more information) or via...

I ran some Metaltech on my GX470. loved the rear bumper Loved the Radflo suspension, really nice trailing arms, well made stuff, but their rear springs where not HD enough for me, I had to get some Dobinson HD and everything was great after that. Mark & John are great to deal with.

US East Running the Trans America Trail (TAT) from WV to the OR coast

I am not sure I can take 4-5 weeks this summer, but it might be nice to try and join in Colorado and go west for a week or more. Rig is a new 2020 Tacoma TRD OR, stock as of now and I would most likely bring my trailer.
