I'm in, just pick a date! We've been planning and preparing for a Big Bend trip since the end of last year, but every time we tentatively pick a date it gets consumed by a wedding or something else we can't get out of, 2018 has been a scheduling nightmare because of it. We are in though, just...
The lighting on these Rams is abysmal at best. I plan to do an LED upgrade soon. Please report back in a month and let us know how these bulbs are holding up!
Thuren +1.5" front coils went on this morning. It took a whopping 20 mins to put them in. They netted +1.325" of lift over stock height. It definitely needs a bigger size tire now. It rides as good as stock if not slightly better. I plan to replace the rear coils and add some King shocks in the...
I have two sets that I recently picked up to run in the RTT and when I solo camp in my hammock. I found them at Dicks (I went in there to take a crap while the lady friend was shopping at Express across the street) in a closeout bin for $11. Glad to hear that the reviews are good.
This was what I was leaning towards. Good to know that I don't need the secondary fuses and buses. I think this settles it for me. I like the size of their control panel as well!!!
I am looking to add switches to my 2018 Power Wagon to run switched power sources for a ARB Twin Air Compressor, LED lights, Fridge/freezer, etc. I like the compact size of the Switch Pros 9100 unit and it'll allow me to stealthily hide it in a few areas whereas the sPod 8-circuit touch screen...
We are planning a trip to Padre Island National Seashore (PINS) Friday May 11 through Sunday May 13. This is Mother's Day weekend fyi. This is a barrier island that runs 60 miles (120+ round trip) in one direction down to the Port Mansfield pass. This is primitive barrier island beach camping so...
A little update for the Power Wagon!
Tires and wheels have been ordered, they should be in later this week, if not then they will be in towards the beginning of next week. I ended up going with Toyo RT's once again after much debate, we have enjoyed them thoroughly on the F-250 so I saw no...
This is the build my other half wanted to do instead of the Power Wagon, but the pocket book just couldn't handle it at the moment. First rate build here, love what I see. Be sure to post some pics of it off-road on your adventures.
Loving the Nuthouse rack, I just finalized the build details on mine, it should be ready in June! I went with an aftermarket wheel that has a +18mm offset and 5.75" back space and is 9" wide. Hopefully they clear with the 37's with minimal to no trimming required.
Very nice! This is what we truly wanted to build, but it just isn't in the budget at the moment, very jealous! My vote would go to Slee for sliders, loved them on our 80.
Congrats! Thats the rig we wanted to bring home, but in the end we decided to hold out until the 300 series drops here in a year or two. I'll definitely be following along on this build.
I just reread the event info, I swear this was in Llano last year, maybe that was a similar event!? I don't think we will be trekking all the way out west of Fort Worth for a day trip from south Texas, looks like we will miss this again.
So after a long debate and many a test drive we scrapped the idea of the TRD Pro 4Runner for our second vehicle and ended up coming home with a 2018 Ram Power Wagon. The misses got so accustomed to driving the F-250 that she found herself more comfortable in a full-size truck than she did in a...
Correct, I inquired about that as well, he's currently working on one for those of us without the optional Ram Boxes. I find it funny that he chose to build the first ones for the Ram Box beds as most don't have that option. While his rack is cheaper than Nuthouse, it's still nearly $2100 for a...
