I had XJ with the 4.0 and it had plenty of power for a family of five and our gear. I prefer the XJ over the WJ, and they are usually a little cheaper. However if you ever plan on towing I would go with the WJ.
I am pretty sure Aluminess is the only company making a bumper with a swing out tire carrier for the F350. There are a few fab shops that will also build you one. The only other solution I was able to find was the wilco hitch swing outs...
You are the second person on here that said the diesel was sluggish. That's too bad I was excited about it, the ifrst none full size 4x4 offered with diesel in the US in quite awhile.
Sadly my Excursion is gone, I miss it, but also love the new truck. Fortunately I might be in the market for another Excursion soon. My wife misses it also and says she might want one.
I know they are totally different animals but I have a K&N and a flowmaster dual exhaust system in my truck. I have never had it dyno'd but it certainally feels like it has more power, it just could be because it sounds faster.
