    Max Trac mounting

I was going to recommend this, too. I don’t have it but seems to solve the muddy problem for inside storage.

    Land Rover Registry

It's funny you bring that up because I just took it off last week. It no longer worked reliably. But, I have the tire adapter that allows me to lift using the wheel/rim.

    Post your recovery gear bag

That’s a great idea! I like it better than my Warn backpack. I could use some extra room.

    Mountain biking

Yep, currently planning a trip to Asheville/DuPont in North Carolina for Sep for a few days, and possibly (if the boss is ok with it) a trip in the June/July timeframe to Tsali/Nantahala. I'm trying to find some spots to get off-road for a bit and see some of the forests on the way over.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Removed the Hi-Lift base plate yesterday because I took the no longer functioning properly Hi-Lift off a couple weeks ago.

    Trigger

I built a junction box to go on my roof rack for the two sets of lights I plan to install, so I didn't need all six (or even the four). The single relays worked better and cheaper. I bought a simple relay box off of Amazon and wired up two relays. This gave me the flexibility to have lights in...

    Trigger

Not the six shooter, but their Bluetooth relays. I use my phone to turn on/off. $50/piece. They just work. I would expect the same quality for the four-/six-shooter.

OB Approved How to make a great fire starter

Thanks for this! I made some tonight, and they work great. I had to improvise a double boiler, and wait forever for the wax to melt. But these things burn for awhile. It seemed to take longer to catch fire that I expected. Is there a trick to starting it?

    Mountain biking

I'm thinking the same thing here in AL/TN/NC. There are a lot of great trails in these parts, but man, I miss CO. If I was still out there, I'd definitely take you up on that offer!

Who owns a Land Rover ?

Oh, man! That looks awful. My wife would kill me if that happened to me.

Who owns a Land Rover ?

I definitely understand the comments about these mostly being mall crawlers. It should definitely be used for what it's made for. But, man, it still hurts when it comes home with a scratch...:persevere:

Who owns a Land Rover ?

Neat thread! I really enjoyed looking through all of the old school Defenders. That's a project I'm going to take on when I retire... I've got an LR5. I originally bought it for a new daily driver because driving 20+ miles, including on the interstate, was getting old in my '99 soft top TJ. It...

To Keep or Return - Benchmade

Thanks all for the opinions! I decided I don’t mind the 1.5” serrated part for the discount. Going to keep it. I like it better than my LMF that I keep in an emergency kit. So, it will be going with me more often

    NEW FORMAT....

Looks like somehow your "Style" under preferences was changed to the Light version. You should be able to click your username at the top of the page, and click on Preferences to get to the setting. It's the first setting on the Preferences page. Maybe your default changed, but mine defaults to...
