Oregon has a road camera site called trip check that might help you plan your routes a little better. It can give you a really good ideas of road conditions, weather alerts, and highway closures etc.

There may still be a fair amount of snow, so keep that in mind. Go prepared with communication equip. just in case you get stuck out there. Spot or deLorme both have satellite trackers that can send texts and in worse case SOS.
The metolius river has some camping options that should be outta...
I have the ability to crack the front or rear windows, even when it is raining outside, because I have those weathertech window deflectors all the way around. They are great because you can roll down the window a couple of inches without rain or wind getting in the cabin. So no, condensation has...
3341 chiming in, and I can sincerely say that this group is the best of what an online community can be. That's not to say that it can't go down those troubled roads of elitism, like so many other groups, but up til now and hopefully way into the future it will continue to be a wide range of...
I lived in Santa Rosa, just north of Frisco, for years and can say there is a lot of camping near Calistoga and a little further north near Clear Lake and Ukiah. You also have the entire Tahoe area within a couple of hours drive. I used to ride mountain bikes up there all the time and would camp...
We use the Excursion as our tent. We got rid of the 3rd row seating altogether and when the 2nd row is down there is a full 84" long by 54" wide and flat area to sleep. We had a 3" foam mattress made that has two inch egg crate foam glued to it and just put a fitted queen sheet over it and place...
Weathertech makes a great interior space cargo liner that has 2" walls all the way around it for those occasional mishaps. I think mine cost around $110 for my Excursion.
Am looking forward to a new episode myself. I have listened to all of the existing episodes multiple times on Podbean. Love the effort you guys put forth, thanks for your dedication
Would be great to see your process, 1derer. I am looking to do something similar with the rocker panels and fender molding on my Excursion. I have already picked up a couple of consideration by reading the other replies, but pics and do's/don'ts as you encounter them would be great info.
My ARB dually is in the Pelican case with all the hose attachment and small volume tank that comes with that kit. Here's a stock image of my unit. I am, however, in the process of researching design safety criteria for a 5gal air reservoir built in a rear tube bumper made of 3" tubing by a...
I have never been to a rally like this, but am really looking at this one being my first. Can anyone tell me if I showed up in my big ol' Ford Excursion if I'd be laughed off campus? Don't know if these are certain vehicle brand/model centric or not. I have a buddy that might go with and we'll...
While I can't give any insight on a vehicle wrap, I can make an informed comment about the wrap I have on my drift boat in the picture to the left. I had Coho Designs out of Portland, Oregon do a graphic that looked similar to the Oregon Ducks football helmet from a few years back and then...
Those ARB camp chairs are NICE! They are very sturdy and rated for heavier guys like myself, and have awesome positive locks so when you are stumblin' around the camp fire chasing your next beer, it doesn't want to fold up on ya. :yum:
Nice! You guys will get a lot of great use and abuse out that rack. I know I am. Mine de-limbed a fir tree this past weekend by getting wedged its limbs in between my ARB awning and the top Defender Rack rail...the tree lost!
Smittybilt makes great products and the defender series rack is no exception. I have the longer version on my Excursion and it works very well. They carry a large variety of accessories from Hi-lift hangers to LED light bar mounts; anything you might need. I would recommend without hesitation.
