Type II Diabetes, Sleep Apnea (CPAP) and Cholesterol How do you maintain a healthy lifestyle on then Trail

Hi - for sleep apnea my setup is a travel CPAP (ResMed AirMini) and a Yeti 400 Lithium Power Station, which I also use for other things while camping (light, coffee grinder, compressor for mattress, ...). This setup works great but isn't the cheapest.

    New Mexico Overlanders

Thanks - Bear Trap canyon is a favorite of mine. Thought I'd try a different route (up through Dusty and maybe Big Rosa canyon, which I remember as being nice but I haven't been there this century).

I am so sorry to hear this.

    New Mexico Overlanders

Thanks - that worked great! The route I mapped out goes east from Beaverhead rather than north. I'll probably still give that a try but it will be good to have a known-good Plan B we can backtrack to.

    New Mexico Overlanders

Is that the road that goes between the Gila and Aldo Leopoldo wildernesses? I was wondering if it was open. I’m thinking of driving it in April. Do you have a gpx file you could share - the roads north of the wildernesses seem a bit unclear. (I work for the organization that operates the VLA!)

Chloride Canyon NM to Reserve NM

I don't know about that route exactly, but one time I was trying to drive to Snow Lake (probably from Mogollon, but maybe Reserve), and I had to turn around because of a gate that gets locked in the winter. I'd call a ranger station to be safe.

    New Mexico Overlanders

Is the road generally difficult/gnarly, or were the people involved likely imprudent or unlucky somehow?

    New Mexico Overlanders

Awesome - thanks! We were planning to camp at the same campground over the weekend but it was raining. Any issue with the road?

    New Mexico Overlanders

Has anyone ever driven the road between the Gila and Aldo Leopold wilderness areas in the Gila National Forest recently? I know somebody who says that's a very pretty drive, but he hasn't driven it this century (last century he said it could be rough but was always passable).

    I don’t - I’m only a forum member.

    New Mexico Overlanders

Thanks! Is there a specific place where such activities are discussed? (IIRC I requested access to a Facebook group but it didn’t come through.)

    New Mexico Overlanders

New(ish) member here. I drive a 2017 F150 XLT FX4. I don't know if I count as a real overlander vs. a camper (I did do the White Rim Trail a couple of months ago). I live in Socorro (I work for the organization that operates the VLA radio telescope).

    Next phase: Expedition Trailer

Many thanks! I've been trying to figure this out for a while (for a fire-extinguisher tie down)!

    Next phase: Expedition Trailer

Hi - I've been looking to find "clips" like you have to tighten the strap in your propane holder. Where did you get this, and what are they called so I can google them. Thanks!

    Norseman tire chains.

Wow, those look like serious business. Off-hand I don't see an online source for them. (I'm looking for snow chains).
