My dodge, lockers front and rear, a17k winch, is also first a bugout vehicle to get to our remote 100 acres, family hauler (and home depot picker upper), then lastly an overland adventure vehicle. I LIKE your priorities.
Where did you get the adapter? Im running 41.5" Rocklers on my cummins with lockers front and rear. Id like to start running MRAP wheels as I take it out to our ranch on a weekly basis and put it to heavy use.
That looks like an incredible trip! It would be interesting to look up a name in the telephone directory and try and get ahold of some of the families that lived there and show them these pictures
This is how it sits today. Its really where a big truck NEEDS a winch. In the back, get out and come back another day. The military puts them up front so they go forward ... or die. I can afford the time to come back another day.
I REALLY like that! Ive mounted lights on all 4 bed corners as well. I have a half bed rack, and full bed rack. I have a marine outdoor switch panel that i cut into the "Decked" drawer system

1. 6'4" bed. I would go with 3 uprights to keep weight down.... see #4
2. its 2" square tubing and .075" thickness or 14 guage....I would definitely go with 1.5" if I did it over.
3. the triangle piece was a huge fiasco as when I bought the Softtopper soft top, it was 3"...
