That's certainly a concern. My plan is to only use it on the trail, not as I drive the Jeep around town. Perhaps that would mitigate the hazard to some degree.
Thanks for the input.
Hello, friends!
I'm looking for a way to carry some extra fuel.
I can't do a tailgate hinge mount, as that where my jack is.
I thought about a spare tire mount, but I have the stock carrier, and I'm afraid it wouldn't hold the weight.
So I'm thinking about this...
I have a winch and tow straps. Would you recommend I carry a snatch strap/rope as well?
If so, under what circumstances would I snatch instead of winch?
Thanks in advance from a recovery noob.
I'm in Alpine, so I'm up for a day trip to Cuyamaca, Ocotillo, Borrego, or whatever. My rig is mostly stock, and I'm a bit of a novice, so I'd want to stick to the easier trails.
Well, that's just terrifying. Sometimes I consider going out on my own for an overnighter, but this kind of thing makes me think twice. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, everybody!
I'm driving a 2015 Jeep JK. I've added rock rails, front and back bumpers, and a winch. All stock, otherwise, but I may go to a 3" lift with 35s someday.
I'm in Alpine, CA, just a bit east of San Diego.
I'll be retiring in a couple of months and decided I want to spend more...
