New adjustable upper control arms to fix the caster, new joints in the axle shafts, hood vents, stainless extended brake hoses, and some other random things. That's today's to do list.

This one goes into the cowl but not through the firewall. It is fully custom, however I believe Thor is the company that makes the legit ones. If I remember correctly they run a couple hundred bucks. This is an install vid of their product. That's what I based my build...

Front axle is getting replaced soon, though that is a possibility. I'm sure there is other misalignments as well.

It's got a new one in it already. I know my geometry is off up front. New tires took care of a lot of the issue. Now if I can just finish putting things together I'd be good.

Fresh wash, finally getting enough done to jump back into this build. Wife got herself a 98, so there is two projects getting done at the same time.

Really busy with homestead stuff, but this just happened. Hope to get back to the rig soon.

Brief update for those following, I have a steering issue. So I've spent the last couple weeks eliminating possible causes for a shake over 55 and I believe I have found it. I'll be fabbing the mounts for a second steering damper to counter the effects of chopped knobby tires. Also got a set of...

Well this stage of the build is complete. Sorta. I have decided to build the old front axle since the housing is beautiful and hasn't really been abused. It came from PA which helps. The after shot. Just a few of my favorite companies.

Yesterday was a bust. No extra lift as planned I really don't care for the spacers in the front coils.i actually had to weld my ball joints in so the axle housing I got is beat. The ball joint literally fell out of the bottom on one side. Luckily vehicle weight will hold it in. Not to mention...

I typically can only post or upload before 0800 due to garbage internet. Unfortunately the cable company has not made it to my house yet so what I have is what's available. So this update is from last night. It has begun. It was wet when I brought it in so it's had all night to dry. Toying with...

    Chainsaws?

Thought I'd share the saw setup I carry in my rig. Old Husqvarna saw with extra bar and chains, oils, tools, even my assless chaps. All of this fits into the case except my hard hat which isn't pictured. Maybe this will give someone ideas.

UPDATE*** So it's been a while but I'm finally wrenching on the rig again. Recently tore down the rear out of my old xj and started getting it ready to swap into the new one. Headed to the junkyard tomorrow for a new front axle since it's cheaper than doing a regear. Here's some pics! Bunch of...

It's still active, unfortunately my internet is horrible so uploading photos is a pain. Plus with it being winter, it's sorta rough to work outside and she won't fit in the garage. Only real change since the last photo is more power. Next up is 3.55 swap, spartan locker for the rear, and an axle...

    The s10 build

While you have the tank out, do yourself a favor and clean the frame and undercoat the areas covered by the tank. Saves a tun of trouble later.

Little oopsy on a trail yesterday. Time for a locker!

Using rigs during bad weather or natural disasters

Up here I don't get hurricanes and I get very few tornadoes. However horrible thunder storms high winds and snowstorms as well as flooding are rather common. I choose to be on the road more or less as a public service than anything. For example, this is Maxx, my old rig, last winter right after...

    The s10 build

I can only speak for myself, and I don't mind. I'd like to think however that everyone feels the same way.
