US Southeast North Georgia Coffee & Ride

If you don't mind riding in the back seat you are welcome to ride with us. You might even get an upgrade to first class if my navigator can't make it... ;)

    US Southeast North Georgia Meetup

This is the meetup portion only of the December North Georgia Meetup and Ride. Since the ride needs to be limited to 10 rigs, I've created a separate meetup for those who are only attending the meetup at 1pm at Reformation Brewery in Canton, GA.View Rally Point

US Southeast North Georgia Coffee & Ride

Join us for Coffee, some Biscuits and a Ride through Nimblewill Gap from Old Bucktown to Nimblewill and stay for the Meetup at Reformation Brewery in Canton, GA at 1:00 pm. Nimblewill Gap is an easy to moderate trail that sometimes turns difficult, so 4x4 is strongly recommended and...

    US Southeast Georgia Meetup

I'll set up the Rally Point for December 14 today. We can't get the private room at the brewery due to high holiday party demand, but we can still meet and do a rig walk. I think we'll make it two-part, with a rally ride over Nimblewill Gap before returning to Reformation Brewery at 1:00 for a...

    Georgia

Hi everyone! I wished I had seen this thread earlier. We just had a meetup for OB at Reformation Brewery in Canton, this past Saturday (23Nov19). We had a great turnout for short notice, with ten rigs to walk around. David Giguere who routed and documented the Georgia Traverse came by to talk...

Recommendations for 37 inch tires for a Jeep Gladiator Overland build

I was talking to the guy at The Jeep Hut, he said as much as he'd like to sell me a regear, he recommended that I try it with the Rubi gearing (4.10) to see if I like it. He said he has done many dozens of 37" Wranglers, and the owners of the Rubi's are typically happy without the regear. Either...

Awesome day with awesome people! Thanks to everyone who came out, it was truly great to meet each and every one of you! There was a wide variety of rigs out there today, and every one of them taught me something about Overlanding. Thanks to Matt (@FrontierMatt) for coming early to help set up...

    US Southeast Georgia Meetup

Looking forward to seeing everyone today. It looks like the rain will start slacking off about when we get started but don't let that keep you away! We should be able to park six or eight of the rigs under the covered part of the patio. If you are in the area please still drop by. No need for...

Recommendations for 37 inch tires for a Jeep Gladiator Overland build

I just ordered a set of General X3 Grabber 37 12.5R17. They get great reviews for being a pretty darn road-friendly MT tire that has great off-road ability. I'll try to remember to post a review once they get on. If I knew how to YouTube I thought about doing a before / after between my Falken...

Where did you install your OB emblem?

My first mod to my new rig that I picked up yesterday.

Kids are definitely welcome. The brewery itself is super family-friendly and also dog friendly. The meetup, of course, welcomes both 'cause both are part of Overlanding :) Pregnant wives...well that's a 'use your best judgment' kind of situation when it comes to going Overlanding. It can be a...

That sounds great. We'll try to make that happen! That was around the date I was going to suggest for the Dec Meetup when we get together Saturday.

My new rig arrived from Detroit, so I'll be able to show it off in its nekked state. :)

    MSR Dromedary bag...10-years on.

I have a 10L that I've had an untold number of years....l5+ I'd guess. Still no leaks. I don't notice a taste difference. I have several jugs that I carry water in for Overlanding, but the ability to hang these off the rack makes this the most used in my system.

David Giguere, who researched, routed and shared the Georgia Traverse and runs Georiga Overland will be attending to talk about how he created the route of the Traverse. David spent hundreds of hours researching and testing the route, and has given Georgia a legitimate overland route worthy of...

For those of you looking to do a little exploring while you are in the area, I did a bit of scouting today of a forest service road based track that's about an hour away from Canton. It's the Nimblewill Gap to Old Bucktown route, and it climbs and crosses the Appalachian Trail just north of...

    Overland Expo Colorado 2020

We are looking at making the trek to either the Mountain West Expo in Colorado or the Expo West one in May in Flagstaff. We haven't decided which one to hit yet, but are leaning towards the May trip since there will be less vacationers on the roads in early May.
