Get Over it!!! (Overland Humor :-)

Hi Expedition north. It was humorous and I loved the video and definitely recognised myself in it. I thought I responded in a humorous way, including emoticons to show I was jesting. Sorry if you thought I was being serious, I truly was not. All the best. John

Get Over it!!! (Overland Humor :-)

those words cut deep :yum:. Still as a land rover owner, with a roof rack, spare wheel on the roof, fridge, inverter and a few other things captured in the video, I reckon you can't be talking about me as I don't have 35 inches wheels (although if anyone knows if I can put some on I would be...

    Food & Water

I bought a cheap 12v fridge in the UK (£90) as I could not justify £800 plus on an engle or similar given how much I had already spend preparing for my recent trip to the spanish pyrenees. It worked a treat and kept the beer cold, as well as the various meats we had for the BBQ. For water, I...

    My Land Rover

same here, now defender no longer made they are sky rocketing in price. Disco 1 & 2 much more affordable, but even the latest LRO monthly magazine says they are good investments, alongside a number of others like the early range rover. All going up in price and likely to outlast many standard...

    My Land Rover

love it. wished i had the mechanic skill to do what you have done. lots of other land rovers, range rovers and jaguars in the pics. are they all yours as well? latest land rover monthly magazine says early discos are now increasing in value, as are the defenders. is that the case in the...

Get Over it!!! (Overland Humor :-)

Could not agree more. A few times on my recent overland trip to spain, we had to pass a tractor or logging lorry. We were on a narrow track with a sheer drop at the side of us. Needless to say, each time we had to pass, we were the ones on the cliff edge. That risk, led to adrenaline, which...

How Many States/Countries Have You Been Too?

Wow I thought I was well travelled. when you look at the map of the world and plot where you have been, you realise just how much is left to explore.

    jerdog's Discovery 3

Nice looking D3. Love the LED install you did, very discreet and yet so bright. Will be adding a second battery to my D3 with split charger, inverter and extra charging points. Love the rack - I have the cut down version. Dont bother paying for the D ring accessories. I needed 4 recently...

OzTent RV-5 Ground Tent Gear Review

Fozroamer, just read your blog and came across the reference to drifter for improving the components that come with the RV tent. Thanks for posting this. My tent bags zip has split, so I currently overcome this by turning my tent upside down so that the zip is facing my rigs roof. But a...

OzTent RV-5 Ground Tent Gear Review

I agree. I have the RV4 and tag a long tent which is great for my family of 6. easy set up, very tough and reliable. Well made and in a recent thunder storm that trashed a number of tents, ours was not affected at all. Nice setup Fozroamer

    European Meeting 2016

Hi Robert, A little closer to home, I am in the UK. Noticed your posts and would love to take part. I would bring my land rover discovery 3 with me. A good chance I might be able to drum up a few other land rovers as well to tag along. I would need to bring wife and kids with me, although...

    Surviving Camping with Toddlers

I agree with Wolfy. We have 4 kids, 11, 9, 7 and 18 months. Guess which one was unexpected :yum:. We take them camping a lot and have a routine for the 18 month old (girl). Each night at six we put her in her pyjamas (this is the first sign that bed time is close), then she watches a BBC...

    Any Preppers/Threepers?

not a bunker type prepper either. although as a brit, 1776 was not a great year for us :smirk:. Glad to see that since then we have become close as nations. Self reliance and taking actions which reduce risks of everyday activities is second nature to me and something i do daily. As many...
