    The Overland Orca: 2003 Tacoma

I noticed that after adding my full size spare (265-75-16) that my dumped exhaust was roasting the tire. In an effort to not have it explode at any given time, I bolted a curved tip on. Also, I installed 2 sets of Yakima tracks on the roof. Going to mount (2) 100w renogy panels, as well as two...

Also- you can get maps of BLM land- camp anywhere there, with certain restrictions, such as certain distances from roads...etc. I've heard good things about Hema Maps, but have no personal experience with it.

Free campsites.net is a great asset. Some other places worthwhile to check out: You can camp for free under Mexican Hat in southeast Utah. If you're headed near Zion at all- we camped at a waterfall called Toquerville Falls- would definitely go again.

Depending on where the wife and I are during that time, wouldn't mind meeting up, tossing some back and taking in some scenery.

    Help Plan My Trip West

Idea for Thursday June 1st. There is a place southeast of DV, in between Vegas and Corona. Called Tecopa Natural Hot Springs, there is is wild hot spring just off Tecopa Hot Springs Road, and it's just north of Death Valey Brewing Co. Great IPAs and a refreshing cucumber beer. If you're looking...

    Socal Meet N Greet

Maybe headed from West LA to Corona and Hemet and back on Saturday during the day. If anybody wants to meet up for a beer on the way or in the area- my wife and I would be stoked. As Homebrewer, we love checking out any brewery. Cheers!

Road Shower vs. Waterport vs. ?

No experience with the aforementioned brands, but we travel with a Nemo Helio shower. Packs down small and works great. Check them out.

In SoCal for a month, anything going on?

Headed up to Death Valley: Saline Springs on Friday - Monday, if you want to rally north. It's supposed to rain sat-sun in Anza anyways.

    The Overland Orca: 2003 Tacoma

Gas shocks arrived with the mounting points to lift the camper roof. Four 40lb shocks will be installed when I install the solar panels to make lifting it a breeze.

The CG has definitely changed, but not all that much. The camper is aluminum framed to keep it light weight. I have changed my wheeling attitude though, now this is on. I don't take the rig out for day wheeling trips and trails for fun anymore. I used to really push the limits of the truck...

Haha, @boehml I loved doing that- the air bed was perfect to absorb the bed ridges. Pretty funny precursor to what my setup is now.
