Thanks for the testing - HF does have that reliability issue, so it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out as you use it more. Please keep us updated! Thanks again for the write up.
Update: went to check out the trunk yesterday. Although it does feel a bittt sturdier, I like that the 103qt tote is not only larger, but the additional clasps make it feel overall more secure. Stick with the totes if you’re giving this option a try.
I just posted this is another part of the forum, but it looks better suited for here:

I actually held off on posting this, but it's been a very welcome, effective and inexpensive alternative for my beginning overlanding adventures and storage solutions. While with the other half at The Container Store, I came across some "Weathertight Totes". I took a look and they are sturdy...
Awesome, they’re close to me - what’d that cost you? I love that it leaves the hitch receiver open, huge bonus considering I have the Factor55 setup back there. Too pretty to not use.
Do you have a shot of the ladder and rack from the rear? You could sway me. The ladder in itself just seems so useful if you have a rack like that. I looked at front runner and you can get the expedition-style frame things for it, but with all the stuff you need to order to make it like th Gobi...
You again! Haha. I’d been talking to Gobi for the last few weeks, trying to figure out if their “12-16 week” wait time was legit or just due to an uptick in orders. I asked them that directly and then they said it was 16 or more. So, it sucks. They look AWESOME and that it comes with the...
I don’t even know where to start with that hahaha. Do you have any idea how that happened? I’m glad it all worked out, I would’ve needed a much more intelligent friend than I to even consider that swap as an option.
It’ll be worth it - persevere! As for the popping, I can’t say for sure BUT I do know that it’s another relatively common thing for Jeep owners with lifts. Some people report that it’s an issue with the track bar, while others find loose bolts in the control arms or the mounting bolts to the...
Couple of things to look at here - I would make sure everything is torqued to a factory spec, just re-look at all of your fasteners - specifically the control arms.
I also know that a lot of Jeep generations (not sure about the WK2, but even the WK had it) had issues with their steering racks...
Looks awesome, thank you. Got an hour today, might try to throw 'em in. Yours looks great, definitely an improvement from the factory setup. Thanks for the pics!
Sick! I'd be interested to hear - again, I was reading the appropriate torque spec is 100ft/lb, not 130ft/lb, but let me know what works. Good luck with the move!
